Actor Alexx O’Nell turns to singing

Alexx O’Nell, who has been working as an actor on TV and in films like Joker and Main Aur Charles, has now moved his attention to singing. Still On My Mind is the first single that he has come up with. As an actor-musician, he has also curated a video with actress Shama Sikander to go with the track.

Talking about it, Alexx, who will be seen with Rajkummar Rao, Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Sharma in

, says, “I write from the core of my heart. This song has a lot to do with my personal experiences. It’s a romantic song that underlines the feeling of being in love, the angst of loss and regret, wanting to make things right. It’s about incredibly happy times, and the opposite too.”
Told through a series of flashbacks, the video of Still On My Mind is about two lovers. One of them seeks closure while the other clings to the past. The song asks the question,’How do you live without me now?’, something that lovers all over the world have been asking each other while in lockdown at great distances from one another.
Alexx says, “In that way, this is the perfect song for the moment in which we live. This is a love song for the lockdown, and that’s why I thought it was important to release it now.”
