Akash Ernest, who also goes by his alias,

artist Johnnie Ernest

gets real about making a mark in the

music industry

. He is a young musician from Delhi who first released his song internationally before venturing into Indian music through his talent and hard work.
In a candid conversation, Ernest shares his journey in the music industry. Being a mechanical engineer by education Ernest chose music when it came to choosing a profession. His interest in music first inclined when he was in high school and used to go out clubbing. Also, that's when he learnt about DJ as a profession. After that, he was determined to be a DJ and later also decided to learn music production.
Talking about his first track, Johnnie says, "After three years of hustling in the industry, my first track, 'Vans on my Feet', was released. I am very grateful as my first track was released on an international label that has released many tracks of international DJs such as

Afrojack

among others."
Now, his next song has also been shot. "I want it to be a bigger hit than 'Summer 45' which was my second track," he says talking about 'Summer 45', whose music video was shot in Bali and

Singapore

. Not only have I made the song, but I have also acted in the music video."
The music video of his next song has been shot in Manali. "The lead actor of the song is a renowned actor but people will have to wait for the song to find out who it is," says Ernest.
Johnnie also finds inspiration from the likes of Matin Garrix whom he met at a concert. "It was like a dream come to true and working with him in the production team made me wanna follow my passion even more," he says. He also sees Hardwell as his muse. "Hardwell always keep his crowd engaged and I learnt that skill from having attended two of his concerts and also working closely with his production crew. I got an opportunity internationally after working with him," says Johnnie.
