26/11 peace concert postponed

A peace concert to be held at the Gateway of India on the eve of the fourth anniversary of 26/11, has been postponed to January 2013. Music director Aadesh Shrivastava, who was to perform live with Amitabh Bachchan at the concert, said, “As a mark of respect for Balasabeb Thackeray, we have decided to postpone the event to early next year.”
Aadesh said Big B has also suggested a tie-up with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, which will perform in India around that time. Sonu Nigam and Shafqat Amanat Ali will also perform at the concert, the funds from which will be used to help blood cancer patients. Bachchan has also sung for Aadesh’s album dedicated to the victims of the Mumbai terror attacks.
