Bollywood: Mithoon���������s keen sense of melody has reflected in his music. His compositions are usually a great mix of soulful tunes and heartwarming lyrics. With Traffic, he treads similar grounds but it���������s not as experimental. The album starts with Keh bhi de sung by Benny Dayal and Palak Muchhal. While Palak takes charge of the mukhda, Benny ups the energy of the antara. Unfortunately, due to the lacklustre tune, it���������s a forgettable number. Arijit Singh gets behind the mic for Neki ki raah. Most of the time, a vocalist is the star of a song but this time, it is the wonderful lyrics that take away the spotlight from the singer. Arijit effortlessly brings forth the required depth with his voice but the song works wonderfully because of the words. In Kuch der, you see a glimpse of the composer���������s adventurous side. He blends in multiple sounds ��������� from percussion to flute and even violin. Palak���������s soft voice fits the metre well, making this the most balanced song of the album. In Vitthala naam, the percussion stands out. Guest composers Shailendra Barve and Prashant Kosambi do a good job but there is a repetitive quality to the track. With Tu alvida, we are introduced to the beautiful voice of Aakanksha Sharma. The raw quality and her lack of finesse, work in her favour as she makes an ordinary composition worth listening to. Traffic has songs that can well fit into its narrative but none of the compositions are worth raving about. The album is adequate, the songs are effective but this isn���������t the kind of album that will have a stirring impact.
