The best kiddy song is unquestionably Lakdi Ki Kathi from Masoom. The song that released in the early 80s hasn't found an able match in the industry ever since. The soundtrack of Shortcut Safari looks visibly inspired by the poetry of the classic song but the album fails to conjure up tunes as fascinating. Bako Sufu, composed by Rohit Sharma, kickstarts the soundtrack. The gibberish lingo and the warm music make it likable instantly. This adorable number is the best thing in this album. Dip Dip Dara is upbeat and benefits heavily from its simple musical arrangement.

Though the rap bits seem jarring, the overall vibe is soothing to the ears. Ek Dhara Ke Jan Gan is a motivational song that fails to strike a chord. It is clear that the music and the lyrics lack sync. It is indeed beautifully rendered by Sadhana Sargam and Atreyi Bhattacharya but the song, with its hymn-like feel, is utterly dull. Credit goes to Shaan for the next track, Piggy Bank. The tune is lovely and with his charming voice and unbeatable energy, he uplifts the mediocre composition. Overall, it is a pleasant album which could have been delightful but fails to be a fun ride. Barring two songs, none of the others are even worth a mention.
