Debutants Vardhan Puri and Shivaleeka Oberoi’s 'Yeh Saali Aashiqui' is a romantic thriller directed by Cherag Ruparel. The album of three songs has been composed by Hitesh Modak and penned by Tanveer Ghazi.

The first song, 'Hawaa Banke' is the quintessential love song that is the mark of a romantic film. Singer Armaan Malik perfectly portrays the smitten lover-boy with lyrics, ‘Hawaa banke jo tu aaye, Tujhe kushbu bana dunga, Tu koyi ho zuban jaanam, Tujhe urdu bana dunga’. Ranjit Barot’s drums, Esani Dey’s guitar and strokes, Sujay Dey’s bass, and Kiran Vinkar’s flute do not fail to impress.

After 'Hawa Banke', we get to see another aspect of Armaan’s vocal range in 'Bewaqoofi'. The composition has a nice retro touch and Hitesh has made perfect use of

Taufiq Qureshi

’s expertise in percussion to make the most of the song. The thehrao, the beats, the flute portions are noteworthy.

The third song, 'Sanki', showcases another side of love and is about

twisted obsession

. Singer Arun HK (Arun Haridas Kamath) brings in the necessary angst in the song and perfectly portrays the ‘sanki’ lover’s state of mind with his rendition.
