Music review: Arjun Patiyala

A romantic spoof comedy, 'Arjun Patiala' has been directed by Rohit Jugraj and stars Diljit Dosanjh, Kriti Sanon and Varun Sharma. Composers Sachin Sanghvi and Jigar Saraiya last heard in 'Gold' and 'Stree', create the tracks for this one.

The first track, 'Main Deewana Tera' is touted to be the ‘pehla nahi par original ladki patane wala gaana’. Guru Randhawa has not just sung, but also written the lyrics of this peppy dance track. This one is an out-an-out Guru track and Nikhita Gandhi adds to the song with her husky rendition of the single line she has in the song. Sachin - Jigar along with Guru have composed this one. The live trumpet by Kishore Sodha adds to the flavour. Sachiya Mohabbatan, the longest duration track in the album, sung by Sachet Tandon has been penned by Priya Saraiya. Sachin-Jigar’s soft, slow melody makes this a hummable Punjabi love song. The flute and guitars add to the soundscape in an interesting manner.

The next, 'Crazy Habibi vs Decent Munda', is an item song featuring Sunny Leone. This one is a typical Guru song and has been penned by him. Sachin-Jigar uses Arabic influences cleverly in the soundscape. Benny Dayal completely rocks the Arabic vocals and lyrics.
'Sip Sip' has been sung by Guru Bhullar featuring Akash D. This peppy track has been composed and written by Akash D.
