Album: MSG 2
Music: Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan,T-Series
Rating: 2.5
Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insaan has a larger-than-life personality which spills through in the soundtrack which he has written, sung and composed. The sequel to his film
MSG-Messenger Of God, naturally titled
MSG 2 – The Messenger has six tracks.
The lyrics range from devotional to festive and cheery.
A dance number opens the album. The catchy
'Party Dhoom Dhaam Se' sounds like a Yo Yo Honey Singh number and has the man himself getting into rockstar mode. The Remix version is dancefloor-ready.
The title track '
MSG The Messenger' is an EDM track with a catchy chorus. Its Remix goes overboard with the electronica.
'Hasin Wadiyon Mein' is more melodious but suffers from less-than-perfect vocals.
'Hule Maale Gile Chila' has dandiya beats and a nursery rhyme.
'Rooh Nashiyaayi' is reminiscent of the 1970s disco songs and has the voice of singer Amar Preet Insaan joining Saint Gurmeet. She brings a husky overtone to the record and is a welcome addition.
Last song
'Sapnon Mein Aana Tera' is one of the lesser tracks in this soundtrack that has party and festive numbers for all. Again, if the vocals came from a pro, it would have sounded much better on the ears. Fans and followers might appreciate the songs that the average listener might not.
