Movie: Memories
Music Director: Sejo JohnRating: 3 and 1/2
After a hit song like
Enthinennariyilla in My Boss, expectations were high on composer Sejo John and he has delivered for sure. There are just two songs in Jeethu Joseph’s
Memories but both are memorable in their own way.
Thirayum Theeravum is a soft love song, with visuals as sensuous as the song itself.
Everything has come together perfectly in the song – rich vocals by Vijay Yesudas together with a melodious blend of piano and guitar with some old Bollywood sounds thrown in. A flaw, if at all it can be called one, is that the song continues in the same strain all through the three-odd minutes. The title song,
Memories Never Die, is a typical Wild West Cowboy song, with impeccable English vocals and lyrics by Shelton Pinhero.
The only jarring aspect in the song is a distinct eastern keyboard accompaniment which doesn’t go well with the rest of the background music. All in all, the music of
Memories is well worth a listen and makes you want more from the composer.
