South music director Joshua Sridhar returns to compose for Kannada films after a two year gap. The director has two projects up for release, one of which is Googly which is a rather wholesome album — where every single number is worth more than an occasional listen.
The film has two numbers which are bound to be chart toppers in the coming weeks — Googly Gandasare Keli, sung by Haricharan and Apurva, and a fast-paced romantic number Yeno Yeno song, also sung by Haricharan.
Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam makes his presence with a slower romantic number Neeniradhe, and Kannada boy Rajesh Krishnan sings yet another slow paced romantic number Bisilukudhure.
Dialogues by film’s lead actor Yash also feature on the music album at the beginning of almost all the songs, which helps add perspective to the number that follows. The film’s director, Pavan Wodeyar pitches in to sing two of the numbers — the carefree Gandujanma and a second title song — Googly Googly, which proves to be an interesting way of crediting the people who have worked on the film.
