Music:Kalyani Koduri
Critic's Rating: ***1/2
Music director Kalyani Koduri has doused the album with an innocent romantic feel. There isn’t one hurried line or sound in the entire record.
The first song
Gammattuga (sung by Hemachandra and Koganti Deepthi) begins with an unhurried piano tune playing in the background even as the lyrics by Sirivennela Sitaramasastri describe the feeling of being in love, in pure Telugu.
It’s the sort of sweet romantic number that seems like a throw back to the soft romantic melodies of the 80s, especially the instrumentation.
It is followed by a soft rock/blues inspired track of
Hey Kanipettey (sung by Kaala Bhairava, Sravanthi). The sounds take a classical fusion twist with the
Thene Mullula (Kalyani Koduri, Sravanthi) track. The sound ambience is in tune with the lyrical nature of the lines by Sitaramasastry that dwell on the sweet sensation of being in love, comparing a lover’s look to a honey dipped thorn and so on.
It is followed by another keyboard induced romance of
Nenena aa nenena sung by Srikrishna and Sunitha).
Thamari Thone (sung by Kalyani Koduri and Sunitha) is more on the lines of classical fusion.
Ye inti ammayive sung by Hemachandra is easily the most interesting composition of the track. The lyrics are playful in the classical sense and the sound is digitised. The album closes with another piano driven melody
Naa Anuragam (sung by Kalyani Koduri, Prashanthi Tipirneni).
