Popular singer Shaan unveiled Lalitya Munshaw’s Aye Halo, a compilation of 81 tracks that boasts three-hours of non-stop raas-garba, sanedo, bhai-bhai, aarti and stuti numbers. The unique album promises to spell magic for Navratri festival aficionados. In fact, the launch of Lalitya’s videos like Dholna and Aaj Khusi, held Shaan spellbound. The presence of other noted singers and musicians like Vinod Rathod, Anup Jalota, Kishor Manraja and Bamboo Beats, who have come together and sung along with Lalitya, only adds colour to the tracks.
Lalitya Munshaw, a singer, performer and entrepreneur, said, “I am happy to bring the best artistes together, to make the best production for the album. Enjoy and transcend with this great form of Gujarati folk music.”
Munshaw is a classically trained artist who’s repertoire boasts of fusion, film, ghazals, folk and bhajans. She has performed and collaborated with several great Indian musicians. Munshaw is also the managing director of Re n Raga, a technologically advanced recording studio in Mumbai, and Red Ribbon, a production and distribution company that aims to preserve the wealth of musical heritage and promote upcoming talent. Her charitable trust Antarang works for the enhancement of education, music and empowerment of women.
