Kolkata had never witnessed a show like this before. If Niladri Kumar’s Sitar Funk show gave Kolkata a taste of what a well-conceived and entertaining fusion show should be all about, Foreigner got every member in the audience on his/her toes. Unfortunately, the delay meant Sitar Funk playing only two pieces.

“There were some technical glitches in the monitoring system of Foreigner. Hence, everything got delayed and we had to leave the stage at 8.30 pm,” said Niladri.
Yet, for the crowd, the show had so much to cheer for. That the cult hits like “Cold as ice” , “Waiting for a girl like you” , “I know what love is” and “Feels like the first time” , “Say You Will” and “Starrider” would get everyone almost in a frenzy, was expected. But what thrilled the audience was the stagecraft of the band. Within a blink of an eye, vocalist Kelly Hansen went straight into the crowd, walked above the seats and was back on stage! Sidhu, frontman, Cactus, said, “I had listened to cassettes and even LP discs of Foreigner. To hear them live was a thrilling experience. I am amazed by Kelly’s desire to interact with the crowd and his high fitness levels. This show, for me, will remain a very memorable experience of my life.”
