The 14th edition of the Mahindra Blues Festival turned Mumbai’s Valentine’s Day weekend into a soul-stirring celebration of rhythm, resilience and raw musical storytelling. Held over February 14 and 15, 2026, at the iconic Mehboob Studios, the festival once again reaffirmed its place as one of Asia’s biggest and most beloved blues gathering. Known for bringing the global blues community to Mumbai, the two-day celebration blended international legends with homegrown musicians in a showcase of the genre’s enduring power. From the moment the gates opened, the vibe was unmistakable with vinyl stalls, gourmet pop-ups and a sea of fans united by their love for the blues.
Day One opened with British blues virtuoso Matt Schofield setting the tone with his signature guitar work. The energy surged as the Altered Five Blues Band made their India debut. The night culminated in a commanding performance by Grammy-nominated blues powerhouse Shemekia Copeland, whose soaring vocals and socially charged songwriting brought the house down.
Day Two kept the momentum alive with Blackstratblues delivering an expansive instrumental set. American talent DK Harrell followed with an old-school, high-energy performance that resonated strongly with purists.
Guitar maverick Eric Gales closed the festival. Also adding a collaborative, community-driven dimension were performances by the Kanakia Beatz Crew and the Nanhi Kali Choir, spotlighting young and emerging voices.
Spread across multiple stages, the festival offered intimate listening experiences alongside high-octane mainstage sets. From sunset jams to late-night showstoppers, each performance underscored the emotional depth and storytelling that defines the blues.
Beyond the music, the festival grounds buzzed with art installations, food experiences and vinyl culture, creating a lifestyle celebration that went far beyond concerts.
