Jagjit Singh at a ghazal concert

The ghazal concert held at Gandipet recently was organized in order to pay a tribute to Faiz Ahmed Faiz, one of the renowned poets of the Indian sub-continent.
The evening came alive for all ghazal suitors with famous ghazal singers Jagjit Singh and Tina Sani mesmerizing the audience with their soulful renditions. Faiz Ahmed Faiz’s poems sounded blissful in the artistes’ soothing voices.
The crowd enlivened the ambience as they tapped their feet and showered the singers with huge round of applauses. All in all, the concert proved that music can enlighten minds and unite hearts.
