Gurgaon recently witnessed a soulful performance by international concert pianist Raphael A Lustchevsky from Poland, who charmed the people present with his magical fingers and left the audience asking for more.
Raphael said, “I’ve been playing the piano since I was six. I feel music makes our lives better and makes us better people. My last visit to Delhi led to my current visit, and now I’ll be visiting more often.
India is still a growing market for classical music; there’s a very strong presence of music in India. I think studying music is beneficial for young people as it expands their horizons. I’m trying to encourage young Indians to study music professionally.”
Ashutosh Mahindru, from Gurgaon, who was there with his seven-year-old daughter Siya, said, “My daughter wants to be a pianist when she grows up, and we absolutely loved the performance tonight.” Ichai Kawa, from Japan, who was visiting India with his family, said, “The concert was wonderful. My daughter really enjoyed it.”
