Enrique's Hyderabad concert cancelled
Do you know what it feels like ... “to be disappointed again...”. This is probably a new version of the Enrique Iglesias’ hit that his Hyderabadi fans are singing right now. The artiste’s much-anticipated performance in the city, slated for October 29, has been officially cancelled.
In fact, this is the second time that the city will experience an Enrique no-show. Hyderabadi fans were left dejected back in 2009 after rumors did the rounds that the Latin-American star was scheduled to perform in the city.

Much to their disappointment, the singer’s PR clarified that it was a mere rumor. And this time around too, thousands of city fans are left heartbroken.
The event has been cancelled keeping in mind the current T-trouble in the city. Madhav Talimerr, the organizer, confirms, “The event has been cancelled due to permission issues. The cops have refused to give permission for any event that attracts a crowd larger than two thousand people. Keeping the current Telagana issue in mind, we don’t want to risk anything.”
Anushree Shukla, a fan says, “It’s unfair, I was so excited about the concert. When I learnt that Enrique is performing in Hyderabad, I bought the tickets and now I hear this.”
Another die-hard fan of the musician, model Aakanksha Patil, adds, “The news is just heartbreaking. I’m a huge Enrique fan and since he hasn’t done an India Tour till now, it was a big deal for us that he was performing in Hyderabad.” Enrique fans however, don’t have to lose all hope. The organization and the US Embassy are currently thinking about a show in December, as part of the Enrique Euphoria Tour. “We can’t confirm whether it will be held in Hyderabad as of now, but if all goes well, he will be performing alongside Pitbull and Prince Royce,” adds Talimerr.
