It was a moment to cherish at Novotel Hotel, Mumbai, when two softspoken men came on stage to share a moment of glory. The first was music maestro AR Rahman, the second Ajay Mago of Om Books International. Mani Ratnam launched the book penned by Nasreen Muni Kabir. While Bollywood was present in its entire glory, what seemed touching was the presence of AR Rahman's wife, mother and sister, and Ajay Mago’s father Om and brother Sanjay whom Ajay called on stage to present the book to Mani Ratham for the launch.
Subhash Ghai, Ram Gopal Varma, Javed Akhtar, Lalita Lajmi, Bhushan and Divya Kumar, Akbar Khan, Mudasir Ali, Ashutosh Gowariker, Imtiaz Ali, Madhushree, Sivamani, Govind Nihalani, Dipa Chaudhari, Rohit Bhuta of Religare and others thronged the venue.
Rahman preferred to answer media questions with his trademark simplicity. Ajay Mago, the publisher added, “It’s an honour to publish this biography and we are proud to launch our cinema imprint Spotlight with this title.”
