Why Ranveer Singh, Parineeti Chopra’s Kill Dil is a must watch

The next Yash Raj Films venture ‘Kill Dil’ starring Ranveer Singh and Ali Zafar seems to have made it to the must watch list of the movie goers. Presenting Govinda and Parineeti Chopra in a never seen before avatar, the Kill Dil trailer looked every moment impressive. Kill Dil is about the tricks the heart plays on an unsuspecting victim of love who is then required to choose between ‘Kill’ or ‘Dil’. Kill Dil is made by the director of hit films like con movie Bunty Aur Babli and the romantic flick Saathiya. Shaad Ali has also worked as an assistant director in films like Dil Se, Raavan and Guru. Looking at the impressive Kill Dil trailer, it seems Shaad Ali is on the road to deliver a blockbuster again. Laden with cheesy one liners, action scenes, bike stunts and interesting glimpses of Ranveer Singh, Parineeti Chopra, Govinda and Ali Zafar, Kill Dil has all that it takes to be a masala entertainer.

Working for the fifth time under the Yash Raj Films banner, Parineeti Chopra will be seen in a never seen before avatar in the upcoming film Kill Dil. Coming out of her girl next door girl look and her bubbly cute girl image, Parineeti is seen showing some killer thumkas and raunchy moves in the film’s trailer. Parineeti plays the role of the bold and cunning Disha who makes a sudden entry into the lives of killers Ranveer Singh and Ali Zafar.

Parineeti Chopra and Ranveer Singh had a brief pairing in her debut movie Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl and the couple is now returning with a sparkling chemistry in Kill Dil. While Ranveer Singh has worked with Priyanka Chopra in Gunday, his pairing with Parineeti Chopra seems to have many takers as far as their bonding and screen presence is concerned. After riding a pillion with Ranveer on a bike in Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl, Parineeti shows she has grown up as an actress by taking the driver’s seat in Kill Dil.

This is not the first time Ranveer Singh is playing a negative shade character in Kill Dil but grey has always worked for the actor. Ranveer Singh plays a killer in the film who works along with Ali Zafar under mentor Bhaiyaji. The actor has successfully played a conman in Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl, a goon in Gunday and a thief in Lootera and has rarely been seen as a gentleman on screen. Wielding a rifle and packing some hardcore punches and kicks, Ranveer Singh seems to be presenting a lot more in Kill Dil than his usual self.

Kill Dil brings back Govinda to the silver screen but in a negative avatar. Making his grand comeback to Bollywood after a few small appearances, Govinda will be seen as Bhaiyaji in Kill Dil with his chelas Ranveer Singh and Ali Zafar. Govinda was last seen in a cameo role in Akshay Kumar’s Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty. The Hero No 1 has ruled Bollywood in the 90s but it seems he too enjoys playing characters with a grey shade for his second innings.

The cheesy one liners in the Kill Dil trailer definitely left movie-lovers open-mouthed. As Parineeti Chopra dares a man “Dil khol ke taado” and Ranveer Singh threatens “tabse gun chala raha hun jabse tu apni maa ke andar nahi apne baap ke andar tha”, Kill Dil may be an on-the-edge film thriller with not just action and powerful scenes but fresh and catchy dialogues too. Directed by Shaad Ali of Bunty Aur Babli fame, Kill Dil seems to have a lot more in store.
