Sridevi: Rare images that should not be missed

Sridevi’s sudden demise definitely left everyone saddened. The Kapoor family has been coping with her absence since then. Meanwhile, this phase is extremely tragic for her two lovely daughters- Khushi and Jahnvi Kapoor.

The younger daughter of Sridevi, Khushi is often snapped at various places. It was recently that Khushi was clicked with her friend. And during her day out, her fans reportedly spotted Khushi Kapoor’s phone wallpaper. It is believed to be a childhood photo of Khushi with mom Sridevi.

While elder sister Jahnvi Kapoor is all set to make her Bollywood debut with ‘Dhadak’, Khushi is an aspiring model. Earlier in an interaction with a daily, Sridevi spoke about Khushi’s career plans. She averred that Khushi aspires to pursue modeling. Although, before modeling came into the picture, she initially planned to become a doctor, then it shifted to being a lawyer. So even she wasn’t sure what might be the final thing. However, she did add that Khushi is independent, strong and has her own mind.

Sridevi has enjoyed superstardom since the time she first weaved magic on-screen and to everyone’s amusement, she still continues to rule the hearts of many. After giving some exceptional performances in films like ‘English Vinglish’ and ‘Mom’, the actress has proved that there is no stopping for her.
The ‘Hawa Hawai’ actress was spotted with husband Boney Kapoor and daughters Janhvi and Khushi enjoying some family time over dinner last evening. Also giving the Kapoor family company were director R Balki and wife Gauri Shinde. They all seemed to have had a gala time together and were all smiles for the camera.
Reports are rife that Sridevi and Gauri will apparently come together once again for the second instalment of ‘English Vinglish’ where they would be taking the story of ‘Shashi’ forward.

The film premiered at a theatre packed with an audience of 400, including Russian delegates and cinema aficionados. "It was overwhelming to witness the audience's reaction to the film. It felt like I was watching it for the first time because there was so much energy in the room," Sridevi said in a statement.

While several B-town celebs celebrated Karva Chauth with much gusto, it seems the Kapoor ladies had the most fun on the occasion. They all united for the fasting and the feasting that followed. Sridevi tied the knot with Boney Kapoor when he was already a father of two kids – Anshula and Arjun Kapoor. This rare picture shows the entire Kapoor khandaan together, in the same frame. Seen in the picture are Anil Kapoor with daughter, Sonam, wife Sunita, Sanjay Kapoor with wife Maheep Kapoor and kids and Boney Kapoor’s family. While Boney’s daughter, Anshula is seen in the pic along with Sridevi’s daughters Jhanvi and Khushi, Arjun Kapoor is missing. Sridevi can be seen on the extreme right of the picture.

Yash Chopra had also chosen Sridevi to play the double role in Lamhe. He was one of the filmmakers who had established her as the top actress in the ‘80s.

Sridevi has been a part of several films as a child actor. While kids usually go to the kindergarten, Sridevi used to pack her bags to go to a film set. The Chandni girl had started working at the age of four and had won the Kerala State Film Award in the Best Child Artist category for her performance in the Malayalam film, Poombatta, when she was all of eight.
