Amitabh and Dhanush's combo: The promos of the legendary superstar Amitabh Bachchan and Dhanush-starrer Shamitabh has already created a lot of curiosity about the film. The fans of both the superstars are eagerly awaiting for the film as this will be the first time that both the actors will be seen together. With Shamitabh, Big B is not only trying to do something different but he has also played with his look for the film. On the other hand Dhanush, who is still basking in the glory of his last successful Hindi film, Raanjhana is once again seen wooing the audience with his simplicity and acting calibre.

Akshara's debut: Daughter of actors par excellence, Kamal Haasan and Sarika, Akshara will be seen trying her hands at acting in Shamitabh. Her sister, Shruti Haasan, who is a big name in the South film industry has also done decently well in Bollywood and now all eyes are set on Akshara's debut. The debutante actress is blessed with drop-dead gorgeous looks just like her mother, Sarika and is also apparently a great actor.

Intriguing story line: Since the time the promos of Shamitabh have releeased, everyone is busy speculating about the story of the film. However, reports indicate that Shamitabh's plot revolves around a mute guy who wants to be a Bollywood star but has to rely on someone to dub for him. However, the inevitable ego clash that results is what forms the crux of the plot of the film.

Amitabh and R Balki's comeback: Who is not aware of Amitabh Bachchan's acting calibre? The actor has portrayed different characters and has never shied away from experimentations. Even at the age 72, Big B never misses a chance to amuse his fans with unusual roles. The last time he teamed up with R Balki, they delivered a masterpiece in Paa. The actor who played a 13-year-old child suffering from the rare medical condition Progeria, where the victim ages rapidly. The act rendered everyone speechless.

Ilaiyaraaja's music: Shamitabh which is all set to release on February 6 will also see six Bollywood directors in a cameo appearance. Apart from the ensemble cast, one of the highlights of the film is its music. A grand event was organised to honour Ilaiyaraaja, which also marked Shamitabh's music launch. Filmmaker R. Balakrishnan along with the cast of Shamitabh and legendary actors Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth and Sridevi were also a part of the event. Shamitabh's music is very peppy and refreshing and within only a few days of its launch, the music is a hit with the masses.
