Chandra Mukhi

Besides being an actor and a painter, Salman has also written the script of a film. Yes, you read that right! The Dabangg Khan has written the story for the film, Chandra Mukhi. The film featured Sridevi in the title role. Sridevi played the role of a princess of a heavenly kingdom who comes down to Earth in search of her lost magical leaf and meets Salman Khan aka Raja Rai. Well, this one should not to be missed for some real, unexpected fun.

Sangdil Sanam

Salman's brushed back hair from Sangdil Sanam was all the rage with the youth when the film released. The film paired him up with Manisha Koirala. The story explores the changing dynamics of relationships. Salman plays the ardent lover who is cheated by his ladylove when his financial status changes. Patthar Ke Phool

Salman Khan romanced Raveena Tandon in her debut film, Patthar Ke Phool, which released in 1991. While she won a Filmfare Lux New Face Award, Salman was seen skating like a pro in the song ‘Tumse jo dekhte...’. Patthar Ke Phool was about a goon’s daughter falling in love with a police officer’s son. However, not everything was as hunky dory as it sounds. The twisted love story makes for a fun watch even all these years later. The 'Kabhi tu chhaliya...' number, recreates the magic of Raj Kapoor's 'Pyaar hua...'.

Kurbaan

The 1991 film, Kurbaan, was the story of an educated city boy, played by Salman Khan, and an illiterate village girl, played by Ayesha Jhulka. The romantic saga was set against the backdrop of family hatred. The two lovebirds are locked up by their respective fathers, but they manage to escape and elope together without fearing the consequences. This film is a must-watch for Salman fans.

Nischaiy

Do you remember Salman Khan’s 1992 film, Nischaiy? He was paired with Karisma Kapoor in the film. Salman Khan played a lawyer who falls in love with Karisma's character in the film. But she happens to be the daughter of his long lost brother who had worked as a servant in her father’s house. Salman's Vasudev Gujral is much like his character, Bajrangi, from Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The lawyer believes in speaking the truth to win his battles. Watch it if you are missing the old-school Prem.

Majhdhaar

Salman Khan and Manisha Koirala paired up again for Majhdhaar, which was the tale of a love triangle. Rahul Roy played the third wheel in the film. While the audience is used to seeing Salman in frothy, peppy roles, this film is as intense as it gets. Trying to tackle complicated marital relationships, Salman delivers a powerful performance. Watch it to know if the film ends on a happy note.

Jaagruti

While they have starred in many films together, Salman Khan and Karisma Kapoor's first on-screen appearance was for the film, Jaagruti. The film was a romance gone wrong. While the film failed to impress the box-office when it released, it can be a good watch for those in love with Bollywood of the '90s. Salman and Karisma sport a tribal avatar in the film and this film should be watched only for that reason, if nothing else.
