Salman Khan convicted: Celebs visit him at his residence

It is often said that a friend in need is a friend indeed and this holds true for Bollywood's Dabangg Khan, as the entire Bollywood is standing by the him during his difficult time. Salman, who was sentenced to a five-year jail term in the hit-and-run case of 2002, had a steady stream of visitors at his residence. Actors, producers, directors, singers, musicians, political personalities and others continued to come and meet the actor. Some of the visitors included Sonakshi Sinha, Rani Mukerji, Preity Zinta and Bipasha Basu. Let's take a look at the actors who visited Salman...

Hrithik Roshan, Kareena and Karisma Kapoor: Whether it is the Kapoors or the other two Khans, Aamir and Shah Rukh, everyone has showed that they stand by Salman Khan in his rough patch. Bang Bang star Hrithik Roshan, who was trained by Salman on body building before he entered Bollywood, shares a very close association with Salman. When Hrithik was going through a bad phase during his divorce proceedings with ex-wife Sussanne, Salman extended a helping hand and reportedly took a good care of Hrithik. And it was Hrithik's turn to show his support for Salman as he visited the actor on May 7, 2015. Apart from Hrithik, Kareena and Karisma Kapoor also went to meet the actor.

Aamir Khan, Raj Thackeray and Nitish Rane: Among the early callers was another friend Aamir Khan, who met Salman and his family members at Galaxy Apartments in Bandra. The duo co-starred in the 1994 cult movie, Andaz Apna Apna. Later in the afternoon, a surprise visitor was Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief, Raj Thackeray. Congress legislator Nitesh Rane, son of former chief minister Narayan Rane, also went to the Khan residence and met the family.

Preity Zinta: We all know that Salman Khan and Preity Zinta share a great bond. They have always stood with each other through thick and thin. And like a true friend Preity made sure that she was with the Khan family during the crisis. Apparently, the actress was so emotionally drained after her meeting the Khan family that she decided to skip match of her IPL team, Kings XI Punjab.

Rani Mukerji: The actress, who has shared screen with Salman in several movies like Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, Harr Dil Jo Pyaar Karega, Hello Brother, shares a very close bond with the actor. Rani, who is usually not seen socialising much in Bollywood and stays away from parties, couldn't hold herself back when her good friend Salman was in trouble. She rushed to his house to console his family on May 6, 2015.

Suniel Shetty and Sonu Sood: Salman, who was granted two days' interim bail on medical grounds hours after his sentencing by additional sessions court judge DW Deshpande, will make his bail plea before Justice AM Thipsay in Bombay High Court. Salman is also close to Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty and even he left no stone unturned to show his support for his friend. Suniel was spotted at Galaxy Apartments showing his support to the actor. Their friendship goes a long way and the actor is producing the remake of Hero starring Suniel Shetty's daughter, Athiya, and Sooraj Pancholi. Sonu Sood, who played the main villain in Salman's Dabangg, also went to the superstar’s house to console his family. In Salman's absence Sohail was seen attending the guests.
