Aishwarya Rai Bachchan reveals Salman Khan rejected this movie alongside her

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is one of those rare gems which Bollywood possesses. Not only does the industry and the fans love her grace and style, but the fact that she is a rarity and is not always found easily everywhere, makes her all the more desirable.

Her latest outing’ Fanney Khan’ has been receiving mixed responses from both the audience and the critics.

Recently, during the promotions of ‘Fanney Khan’, when a media portal asked Aishwarya if she was apprehensive about playing a sister to Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Josh’, after playing his love interest in ‘Mohabbatein’, Aishwarya made a revelation which shocked everyone.

She revealed that SAlman Khan and Aamir Khan were first approached to play Max’s role in ‘Josh’. But eventually the role landed on Shah Rukh Khan’s lap and in fact, Aamir was also approached to play Chandrachur’s character in the movie.

Salman Khan chooses Arbaaz Khan, Sohail Khan’s films over Boney Kapoor’s offers

Salman Khan is undoubtedly the most bankable star in Bollywood with most of his films turning out to be commercial blockbusters at the box-office. The actor is a busy man with not just movies but his international Da-Bangg tour and his new television stint ‘10 Ka Dum’ keeping his date diary full. According to the latest reports, the actor has given a clear thumbs down to the sequels of ‘Wanted’ and ‘No Entry’ which were being speculated since a long time. The actor will soon be starting the shooting of Ali Abbas Zafar’s ‘Bharat’ along with Priyanka Chopra and Disha Patani. However, he seems to have picked up family over friends and has confirmed taking up Arbaaz Khan’s ‘Dabangg 3’ next and Sohail Khan’s directorial venture ‘Sher Khan’ consecutively. Salman has reportedly said that he takes up only that project which excites him immediately and if he takes a day’s time to think over something than that film is definitely not happening which has been the case with the ones offered by Boney Kapoor.

Salman Khan: Blockbusters he has rejected

A popular Hindi proverb literally translates to 'Every grain is inscribed with the name of the person who will eat it.' This is probably the only way to explain Dabangg Khan's decision to reject five blockbuster films that had the potential of changing the course of his career. And as his popular dialogue in Kick goes, 'Dil mein aata hun, samajh mein nahi!,' we can't really figure out why Salman said no to such promising scripts.

Baazigar: Salman Khan was the first choice to play the anti-hero in Abbas-Mastan’s blockbuster, Baazigar. But as fate would have it, he literally handed over the film to Shah Rukh Khan. The film not only established Shah Rukh as a star but also fetched him many Awards for his iconic performance.

Josh: So tempting was the character of Max Dias that every other actor in the film wanted to play it. Salman Khan cited date issues and the role once again went to Shah Rukh. For Sallu, it was not just a film missed but also an opportunity to salvage his then sinking career.

Kal Ho Na Ho: Kal Ho Na Ho is one of those rare films which touched millions of hearts across the world. But Salman Khan turned down the offer as he didn't want to play the second fiddle to King Khan. Barring a cameo in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, we are yet to see bhai in a Karan Johar film.

Chak De! India: The Indian women hockey team in the film had 70 minutes to take the World Cup trophy home but so unfortunate it was of Sallu that he had no dates available. Chak De! India was a superhit not only at the box-office but also won critical acclaim bagging several awards. Shah Rukh’s portrayal of the patriotic coach is remembered as one of his finest performances till date.

Ghajini: Rumour has it that Aamir Khan himself recommended Salman Khan’s name after going through the script of Ghajini as he thought that the Dabangg Khan would be better suited for the role. Not much is known about how the film ultimately fell into Aamir’s lap which went on to become the highest-grosser of the year.
