Reasons why Chitrangda Singh might have got divorced

Chitrangda Singh, is a model-turned-actress, who made her debut in Sudhir Mishra's Hazaaron Khwaishen Aisi (2005) and rose to fame with her first commercial film, Rohit Dhawan's Desi Boyz (2011). Chitrangda, who married Golfer Jyoti Randhawa, had filed for divorce last year. The couple tied the knot in 2001 and has a five-year old son Zorawar Randhawa. Speculations about the divorce were being made since last year, but Chitrangda kept dismissing the rumours saying that her visit to the Gurgaon court with her husband has been clown out of proportion. In earlier TOI reports, we had mentioned how Sudhir Mishra was reportedly held for creating a rift between the couple. Sudhir Mishra, who had given Chitrangda her debut role in Hazaaron Khwaishen Aisi, was quite close to her and has been her mentor in the industry. Due to their frequent outings together, their relationship appeared to be beyond just professional bonding. Several sections of the media even reported that the director and the actress are addicted to each other. Does this alleged link-up have anything to do with the alleged divorce?

It was not just Chitrangda's rumours that were surfacing in the past, even Jyoti Randhawa was allegedly looking out for options. As Jyothi Prabhakar of TOI had earlier reported, Chitrangda's husband Jyoti also had a close friend in Gurgaon. Once he had apparently sneaked into his neighbour 'friend's' house in the wee hours of the morning, after which Chitrangda allegedly moved to Mumbai. So, it was rumoured that everything was not well between them and that's why the actress had confessed to Mumbai Mirror, "There are pressures on any relationship. You have to work on it, just as you work on other things...I am not living a perfect life."

Speculations are being made that Chitrangda Singh wanted to explore her options in Bollywood. Chitrangda has worked in Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, Sorry Bhai!, Yeh Saali Zindagi, Desi Boyz, Joker, etc. But it seems managing both marriage and work were quite difficult for Chitrangda, especially when you are located in Gurgaon and not Mumbai. The actress had once mentioned in an interview to Mumbai Mirror, "I love cinema, it completes me." So, is it that Chitrangda is going to follow her filmy passion after divorce and we will get to see more of Chitrangda on-screen?

As we had told you earlier, Chitrangda and Jyoti Randhawa have a five year old son Zorawar, from their 12-year-old marriage. We believe bringing up a son and working in films must have been quite difficult for her marriage. Chitrangda had once admitted that, "He needs to know me as a mother first. When he grows up, he will know about my work as an actress." It could be a possibility that Chitrangda's hectic work life must have come between her mommy time.
