Ever since Rani Mukerji tied the knot with Aditya Chopra she kept herself away from the media glare and hardly made any public appearances. The actress and her daughter were in Paris for a holiday and returned to Mumbai only recently. This was Rani's first public appearance post her pregnancy. She was snapped by the paparazzi leaving the international airport without Adira in tow. The 'Mardaani' actress was dressed in her travel gear and chose to go sans makeup. While we are happy to have Rani back in the town, we also can't wait to take a look at baby Adira.

While Uday Chopra has been gaining attention for his alleged breakup with Nargis Fakhri, the Chopras including Aditya Chopra, Rani Mukerji, their daughter Adira and mom Pamela have reportedly shifted bag and baggage to Paris for a few months. Aditya is shooting his upcoming flick ‘Befikre,’ starring Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor in Paris and therefore the family has rented a 6-BHK in the heart of the scenic city so that no one misses out on the fun. Baby Adira’s nanny and their cook have also accompanied them at their temporary residence. Moreover, Rani’s parents and brother will also be joining them for a holiday. Now that seems to be a complete get-together in style.

Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra announced the arrival of their princess Adira in a unique way. According to a report on Pinkvilla.com, Aditya and Rani sent a cute baby cradle filled with goodies to their B-town friends to announce the arrival of baby Adira. The cradle is beautifully decorated in pink tulle with yummy goodies and the colourful cookies have Adira's name spelled out on them. It states that the actress wanted to have a shaad or shaad-bhakkhan combined with a godh bharai, instead of a westernised baby shower. Shaad is a pre-birth ceremony that is celebrated by Bengalis, in which the mother-to-be is pampered with her favourite food, while godh bharai is celebrated to welcome the unborn baby into the family. Considering that the actress opted for a traditional Bengali wedding, it is no surprise that she wanted to have a traditional baby shower as well.

Rani Mukerji wanted to ensure that her yet-to-be-born child has the best of everything. The actress, who was hospitalised following a minor complication, was contemplating having her baby outside the country or so claims a DNA report. Apparently, Rani was planning on taking an extended maternity leave. She reportedly wanted to nestle herself in some foreign country for her baby's birth. A source has been quoted in the report as saying that it was Rani's wish to get married in Italy and Aditya fulfilled it and likewise, it was her wish to have her baby abroad too.

Pregnant Rani Mukerji hospitalised after attending Diwali bashes

Rani Mukerji was spotted partying with the who's who of the industry at Bollywood's Diwali bashes. However, seems like the revelries have exhausted her. According to a Mid-day report, the pregnant actress had to be hospitalised over the weekend as she was extremely tired and was advised bed rest. Confirming the reports, Rani's spokesperson was quoted in the report as saying that, Rani Mukerji was admitted to a hospital as the doctor felt she needed to rest for a few days under medical supervision. The spokesperson further reveals that she was being discharged, but chose to rest it the hospital for a few more days as the baby's room is being prepared at home and she wanted to be away from the dust and noise.

However, after walking down the aisle, the actress issued a statement that read, "I would like to share the happiest day of my life with all my fans all over the world whose love and blessings have been part of my journey all these years. I know that all my well-wishers who have waited for this day will be really happy for me. It was a beautiful wedding in the Italian countryside with just a few of our close family and friends with us. The one person I missed terribly was Yash Uncle, but I know he was there with us in spirit and his love and blessings will always be with Adi and me. At the launch of the trailer of her film Mardaani, Rani had said that those good days, hinting at motherhood, will definitely come. Also in an interview with the Times of India, Rani had said, "I want to expect soon. Every woman is born to procreate and God has given us that magic power to bring another human being into the world. Adi always teases me, ‘You are born to become a mother. You should have had babies when you were born only.’ So yes, I am completely looking forward to becoming a mother. But movies is my first love and that is what has given me confidence and a say in this world." In an interview with Vogue, Rani has spoken about life post marriage, her choice of films and her future plans. Asked if she sees herself producing or directing a film in the future, the actress, who has completed two decades in Bollywood, said, "There's nothing stopping me. Adi would never say no. But I see the way my husband works. He's the most hard working person in his studio and the last one to leave at night. I wouldn't want to risk his or his company's name by doing something juvenile. For now, I'm enjoying being married and doing nothing." As for five years from now, she says that she wants to see herself doing some kickass films and having lovely babies beside her as she goes to the set.

The couple took off to London at the end of July and Rani was spotted by a fan at a spa getting a pre-natal massage. "They returned to India last week after travelling in the UK for over a month but have taken off again, no one knows where," added the source. Since, UK seems to be a frequent getaway, will the baby be born in the Queen's City? "No, the delivery will take place in Mumbai," the source asserted.

After the confirmation from her cousin, it seems that baby Chopra is indeed on the way. And what's more, according to a report on Bollywoodlife.com, a source has been quoted as saying that Aditya Chopra is on the seventh heaven with Rani’s pregnancy news. Apparently, he has got someone from the US to do up the baby's nursery room. The source insists that the room is being done up on a really lavish scale. Well, considering the lavish wedding in the Italian countryside, it is hardly any surprise that Aditya wants to spoil his loved ones silly.

While father-to-be, Aditya Chopra, is doing up the baby's room, Rani Mukerji is preparing to be a mother and like every good mother she wants to ensure the complete well-being of her baby. So, in order to protect the baby, the actress has reportedly conducted a hawan in the Yash Raj Films' office. A source has been quoted in a DNA report as saying that the actress is very religious and hence the moment, she returned, she decided to have a puja in the office for the well being of her baby. The source also adds that Rani is currently in her second trimester and her medical reports are all normal. The report further stated that the Chalte Chalte actress’s sister-in-law, Jyoti Mukherji confirmed Rani’s pregnancy and that she chose a south Mumbai hospital for her delivery.
