Randeep Hooda to play Salman Khan's coach in 'Sultan'

Salman Khan is putting in a lot of efforts to make his character in his upcoming release, Sultan, as real as possible. And the latest update on the movie is that actor Randeep Hooda, who was last seen in Main Aur Charles has been signed to play Salman Khan's wrestling coach, reports DNA.com. Quoting a source, the report states that director Ali Abbas Zafar was searching for someone to play Salman’s wrestling coach and the role needed someone who is tall with a good physique and persona. Salman felt that Randeep was apt for the role, and hence recommended his name. The team then approached Randeep and he agreed to come on board. Moreover, Salman Khan is very fond of Randeep and his quirky way of talking.

Randeep Hooda: I never wanted to do a ‘Raj’ of Bollywood

Actor Randeep Hooda says that he never dreamt of playing the quintessential lover boy of Bollywood films. The 39-year-old Main Aur Charles actor will be next seen enacting the life of Charles Sobhraj in the same film, which is based on Sobhraj’s famous Tihar jail break of 1986. Speaking to PTI about his choice of roles, the reticent actor said “To play Raj (lover) in every movie has never been my ambition and it will never be. I try not to repeat myself even though people say you have done a lot of cop roles… I just say one thing ‘is every journalist the same? Then how can every cop be the same?” He further elaborated, saying “For every role that I play whether it is in Highway, Rangrasiya or Once Upon a Time, my thrill is to experience something new and discover something new about myself.”

Randeep Hooda, in an interview with Filmfare, has spoken up about young girls and his single status. About young girls, he said that he doesn’t like them and finds them annoying. He asserted that they talk too much and have no idea about sexuality. He added that they are overtly cute and unnecessarily insensitive. However, he finds his single status confusing and about the same, he said that his status is in perennial sense of confusion and he is one of those unlucky people.
