Just like most Bollywood actresses, even Rakhi Sawant has a wish list that certainly includes the role she will be seen essaying on-screen with 'Ek Kahani Julie Ki'. Talking about her challenging yet content driven role, Rakhi shared that she was happy that such a role came her way. She doesn't want to restrict herself to be the quintessential Bollywood heroine and ones who get type cast. Adding that the role she is playing is strong and meaningful with different shades.

The who's who of Bollywood reacted to Salman Khan's controversial 'raped woman' comment. While some condemned the actor's comment, others sided him and others refused to comment over it. Rakhi Sawant, who is known for her rather unusual statements and take on life, was asked about the Salman controversy recently and here's what she had to say. Defending Salman, she said, "Mujhe nahi lagta Salman Khan ne yeh baat boli hai. I promise you that Salman Khan ne yeh baat nahi boli hai." Giving a rather odd explanation, the item girl added, "...Salman Khan ne sirf lip movement ki hai aur unki baaton pe kisi ne dubbing ki hai. Salman Khan ki awaaz nikaalne waale bahut saare log hain, mimicry artist bahut saare log hain. I promise you, Salman Khan logon ko pyaar dete hain, woh ek mahila ke khilaaf aise kaise bol sakte hain."

Give her a chance and Rakhi Sawant will out-Rakhi herself to be in the news. The actress was at it yet again! Following the alleged suicide of popular Television actress, Pratyusha Banerjee, CINTAA decided to give counseling sessions to actors to help them deal with their grievances in a better and healthier way. And our controversy queen has a ‘brilliant’ suggestion to help their cause… a ban on ceiling fans! Yes, the item girl actually held a press conference where she walked in carrying a ceiling fan in her hand and went on to say that it was because of the ceiling fan that so many women are committing suicide. Sawant requested Narendra Modi to put a ban on the use of ceiling fans saying, “Banning ceiling fans is more important than chanting ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ because many daughters and daughters-in-law are committing suicide.” That’s not where she stopped. She then urged people to use alternatives like a table fan and an air conditioner. “Whoever loves their daughter, I appeal to them to remove fans from their homes. Instead, keep a table fan or an AC,” said Sawant.

According to a report on Pinkvilla.com Rakhi Sawant's upcoming film Ek Kahaani Julie Ki is based on the infamous Sheena Bora murder mystery, where she will play the character of prime accused Indrani Mukherjea. During a media interaction the item girl claimed to be Indrani’s favourite star. She revealed that Indrani always lived a stressful life and only now that everyone has come to know what stress Indrani was going through she would portray everything on screen... She was further quoted as saying she was nice, a mastermind and money-minded. Rakhi also added that she worked very closely with Indani Mukherjea and that she knew her husband Peter Mukherjea as well. She informed that their friendship grew on the set of the two reality shows -- Yeh Hai Jalwa and Jalwa Four 2 Ka 1, aired on 9X -- under INX Media, which was helmed by Peter. She further went on to clarify that she knew everything about Indrani which is why she thought she would be the best person to play this character. The report also states she claimed no one knows who or what forced Indrani to commit this heinous crime. She further stated that even though Indrani has confessed she was still hiding something.

In a limelight grabbing interview to bollywoodlife.com Rakhi stated that she knows everything about Indrani Mukherjea and the both of them are actually best friends! She revealed that she was shocked to know about the involvement of Indrani in the Sheena Bora murder case. The queen of controversies further went on to say that she is making a film on Indrani’s life which is called Mera Naam Julie because Indrani is alone and she wants to voice her feelings to the mass. The item girl further stated that she wants to meet Narendra Modi and Smriti Irani so that Indrani can be relieved. She further stated that she knew it all about the Sheena Bora murder case but she doesn’t want to divulge the facts because apparently she does not want the CBI to follow her.

After calling Salman Khan innocent in the 2002 hit-run-case, Rakhi Sawant is supporting playback singer Mika Singer in the slap controversy, reports ANI. Rakhi was quoted saying, "The doctor was totally drunk. He wanted to get a photo clicked with Mika, he was misbehaving with everyone at the back stage. The doctor pushed the bodyguards and came to the stage. I think whatever Mika did was absolutely correct. He did the right thing by slapping the doctor. When we were in Malaysia, I had asked Mika about the incident. He told me that the doctor was irritating all the female artists.”


The report further stated that Sawant also commented on the doctor’s character, claiming that he ‘looked like a terrorist’ and could have been a human bomb. She alleged that he filed a complaint against Mika for publicity. “If he would have been a fan, he would have waited for the performance to get over and would have met Mika backstage. The doctor has gone to the police just for publicity,” she said.

Mahesh Bhatt is signing Sunny Leone for her nudity: Sunny Leone's early ouster from the Bigg Boss house in season 6 came as a surprise to many. She said, "I'm really amazed as to how this happened! Aakhir yeh chamatkar hua kaise! Logon ko toh ashleelta kaafi pasand hai! Especially when it comes to seeing others' sisters and daughters sans clothes, people are quite gung-ho. Lagta hai logon ko naye saal mein akal aagayi. Der aaye durust aaye! If people have rejected nudity on telly, then I am really glad!" She further added, "Mahesh Bhatt is signing Sunny Leone for Jism 2 only for her nudity. Baba Ramdev is hot: Rakhi Sawant's loud mouth statements on Rahul Gandhi and later on Baba Ramdev surprised everyone. Talking about Baba Ramdev, Rakhi said, "Mujhe nahin lagta Soniaji ke saath meri daal galegi. So I wouldn't mind marrying Swami Ramdev. He has loads of money and drives expensive cars. If this wedding happens, you all will get to see a glamorous sadhvi. Wouldn't that be interesting?" She further went on to add, "I find him hot. He is sexy. Haven't you ever seen his flat tummy? Bas ek baar shaadi ki mala unpe daal doon, unki aankh fadakna bhi band ho jayegi. And I can vouch for the fact that the yoga DVD which we will release will be far more sensuous and hot than Shilpa's. If Kangna is so publicity hungry, she should have kissed Mika: The infamous episode of Rakhi and Mika's kiss is possibly the most stretched controversy ever. In 2011, Kangna Ranaut had apparently refused to lock lips with Mika for a role. Kangana had said, "I am no Rakhi Sawant to do something like this." This left our dearest Rakhi fuming. In an interview with the Times of India, Rakhi said, "How dare Kangna do her publicity gimmicks, firing from my shoulder. If Kangna is so publicity hungry, she should have kissed Mika for the song and become famous. Why resort to talking about Rakhi Sawant to gain mileage."

Salman should do 'dadagiri' only in films: Rakhi Sawant did not spare Salman Khan either. In an interview with DNA, Rakhi Sawant was asked if Salman supporting Rakhi's rival in election will affect her vote bank. To this, Rakhi said, "I don't understand why Salman Khan is speaking in favour of Gurudas Kamat. Salman has never gone to a slum. Salman should do 'dadagiri' only in films. If I want, I can call (for my support) Amitabh Bachchanji, Shah Rukh Khan and Hritik Roshan." She further added, "Salman should first decide whose side he is on. He is confused. I will get all Muslim votes. I am confident of that."

Aamir should be made PM of the country: Rakhi had once claimed that Aamir Khan's Satyamev Jayate was inspired from her reality show Rakhi ka Insaaf. On being asked if she liked Aamir's show, she said, "I have nothing against Aamir. He is a great guy and I am indebted to him for life. He stood up for me at a time when there was nothing good going for me. In fact, he should be made PM of the country. My only issue is that if Aamir Khan decides to do a show like this, it is termed social work, but if Rakhi Sawant anchors a similar show it is termed as business and means to garner TRPs."

I will do a better 'ooh la la' than her: Rakhi Sawant had also been offered Bengali remake of The Dirty Picture. Rakhi, being the motormouth that she is, in an interview with the Times of India said, "The film is based on the life of an item girl and it is only befitting that I take on the role as I am the original item girl of Bollywood. I admire Vidya a lot. I think she is a great actress and she did a great job in the film. But now it is my turn and I will do a better 'ooh la la' than her. After this film I am hoping that everyone will chant only my name."
