Saba Qamar recalls humiliating moment when she was frisked for being a Pakistani

Actress Saba Qamar, who was last seen in the Irrfan Khan starrer ‘Hindi Medium’, has been enjoying cross-border popularity. However, in a recent video, the actress spilt her heart when she recalled a humiliating situation that unfolded at an airport, en route to a shoot. A video of Saba sharing her ordeal has gone viral on the web.
The actress shared her plight in an interview stating how she felt humiliated and embarrassed on being the only one to be frisked at the airport, just because of her Pakistani nationality while travelling with an Indian crew for a song shoot in Tbilisi, Georgia. The actress revealed how she was the only one to be called aside and was allowed to leave only after a thorough search and an interview with the authorities.
She has expressed remorse over her country being treated as a terrorist state.

Pakistani bombshells in Bollywood

Bollywood, the land of dreams, has always fascinated millions of people across the globe with its stories, songs and dances. People from various parts of the country come to tinsel town to try their luck. But the lure of this glamorous world is not just limited to India. Artists from Pakistan are also interested in participating in this huge industry. The sour relation between the two countries has often led to controversies over Pakistani artists performing in India. However, despite all roadblocks, Bollywood has seen a number of beautiful faces from across the border making their way in the Indian film industry. With their bold avatars, they have set the silver screen on fire. Let's take a look at some of the Pakistani beauties who have acted in Bollywood films.

Humaima Malik: She's the latest export from the Pakistani film industry. The Bhatt camp has always promoted Pakistani talent in Bollywood. Humaima made her big Bollywood debut with Raja Natwarlal opposite Emraan Hashmi. However, Humaima is not new to the glamour industry and is in fact one of the highest paid actresses of the Pakistani film industry. She walked the ramp at the age of 14 and was also seen in the critically acclaimed film Bol. In Raja Natwarlal, the actress is seen doing some steamy, intimate scenes with her co-star, Emraan Hashmi.

Sara Loren: She was originally known as Mona Lisa and made her acting debut in 2003 with television serial Rabia Zinda Rahegi. She has also appeared in many other TV serials like Mehar Bano aur Shah Bano, Sandal, Riyasat, Dupatta and Umrao jan-e-adaa. Sara was also nominated for Best Drama Actress for her performance in the serial Main Mar Gai Shaukat Ali at the 2nd Pakistan Media Awards. Though her Bollywood debut, Kajrare, turned out to be a disaster, the actress didn't give up and was seen as the seductress Nisha in the 2013 film Murder 3. In this film, the actress had many raunchy lovemaking scenes with Randeep Hooda. Apart from this, the actress will apparently be seen in an item song in Welcome Back.

Meera: Another import from Pakistan is actress Meera. The actress left no stone unturned to make her presence felt in the Indian film industry. Remember her sensuous song 'Mere dil mein' from Nazar? The actress was at her scintillating best in the song where she has romanced Ashmit Patel. However, Meera was criticised for her bold act back home. Despite this, the actress continued to struggle in Bollywood to make it big. She was reportedly involved in a spat with a Dubai-based businessman, Attiq-ur-Rehman, who allegedly claimed to have married the actress. Apart from this, Meera landed in a controversy when a sex video featuring her husband, Captain Navid Shahzad, was leaked online. Apparently, an arrest warrant was also issued against them.

Veena Malik: She came to limelight, thanks to her relationship with Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Asif. The actress' claim to fame was the fact that she spoke about his involvement in match fixing. The actress became the talk of the town after that. However, it was her stint in Bigg Boss 5 that fetched her instant recognition. Her bold antics in the Bigg Boss house kept her going in the show for a long time. Her love affair with Ashmit Patel kept her in the news even after the end of season. Veena is also remembered for her bold scenes in films like Zindagi 50-50 and Mumbai 125 KM. She is married to businessman Asad Bashir Khan Khattak and the couple had a baby boy whom they have named Abram.

Somy Ali: Reportedly known as Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s ex-girlfriend, Somy Ali went on to act in nine films during the '90s, most of them big-scale but forgettable duds. The actress was a part of many big projects like Andolan, Yaar Gaddar, Anth and Aao Pyar Karen. She also got an opportunity to act opposite stars like Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty and Saif Ali Khan. However, after her break-up with Salman, she reportedly went back to Florida and never returned to the country.
