NH10: Anushka Sharma speaks about the film

As per a report on Indianexpress.com, after the overwhelming response that Anushka Sharma's NH10 has received, the makers have decided to make a sequel to the film. As per the report, the film's sequel will be called NH12. The sequel too will be about a road journey. However, there is no confirmation on whether the same cast will be a part of the sequel too.

According to a report on DNA.com, Anushka Sharma has revealed that she has not watched her own film, NH10. The report states that the actress has asserted that while she would have continued to produce films with similar content irrespective of NH10's box-office success, she was apprehensive about the way the film would be received by the audience. The PK girl, who made her production debut with NH10, has confirmed that she would like to make similar films in the future as she is also happy with the film’s box-office collections.

According to a report on Mid-day.com, Anushka Sharma has got a unique pair of customised shoes, which has NH10 printed on it. The report further stated that Anushka has been flaunting this special pair of sneakers at promotional events of her film. With shades of orange, yellow and black, the actress has indeed got a funky pair of footwear. The gutsy actress, Anushka Sharma, who made her production debut with NH10, was recently a part of the Google Hangout with TOI.com. The actress sportingly answered all questions posed by her numerous fans from across the world and spoke at length about the film, her role, and much more in the exclusive TOI Face-off. Presenting some interesting excerpts from the conversation...

Anushka's character in NH10, Meera, seems to be a headstrong girl. Talking about the same, Anushka said, "Meera is a regular girl. She works, she has a job, she has compartmentalised her life really well. She thinks that she's sorted things out. And she is comfortable with the life that she leads. Through her journey in the film, she discovers her own strength. It's only when we face adversities in life that we discover our own potential and strength. That's what happens with her in the course of the film. She is a very sorted girl."

When asked how she would react if she lands herself in a situation similar to that in NH10, Anushka said, "Nobody knows how they would react in a situation like that, especially when there are hardcore kind of things happening in life. I don't know, Meera didn't know. Even you wouldn't know how you would react in such a situation. It's only when it happens to you that you realise what you are capable of doing. It's only when you have to face the music that you know what your personality really is."

In this film, Anushka Sharma will be seen portraying a very different character from the rest of the roles that she has done so far. When asked if it was a conscious decision to move away from routine roles, Anushka said, "I think every actor is always trying to play different part. I have not done that many films for any kind of judgment to be made in terms of the roles that I have done. In the past two years, I didn't have any release till PK came out, and now I am doing NH10, Bombay Velvet and Dil Dhadakne Do which are different films and I have really diverse roles in them. I think that's what I want to do, every actor wants to do - keep reinventing things, because that's the kind of kick that you get out of career. So yeah, it was a conscious decision from the beginning."

Anushka will be seen doing action sequences in NH10. Elaborating on the same, Anushka said, "I tried to make myself physically fit so I could cope up with the action and the physical expectations and challenges that I had to face during the film. I did that three months before I started working on the film. We did a lot of workshops with Navdeep who is the director of the film, and Neil (Bhoopalam) and me. A lot of it happened before we actually started shooting for the film. We were shooting at real locations, but once we were on set, we had to get things going. So before that all the prep happened and it was like a strenuous three months of me doing so."

Anushka Sharma is said to have performed her stunts herself in NH10. When asked how difficult it was for her to pull off the stunts and action sequences, Anushka quipped, "It was difficult. But at that point of time you don't realise because you just want to do it and get it right. It was fun because I haven't really done action before and I was prepared for it. So I was having fun."
