Lakme Fashion Week 2015: Celebs at the do

Shah Rukh Khan has always been proud of his wife Gauri Khan. But now the actor has more reasons to appreciate her as his ladylove made her ramp debut at the Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2015. Shooting in Croatia for his upcoming film Fan, King Khan lauded her on Twitter, “SatyaPaul by Gauri. Xtremely proud of her achievement. Missed applauding her & it’s a shame I don’t wear dresses. Haha.” [sic]

For the record, Gauri unveiled her resort wear and saree collection ‘A Tropical Wonder’ for designer brand Satya Paul's 30th anniversary at the fashion week.

Lakme Fashion Week celebrated their 15th edition in true new age style with a unique concept show - a live show via Instagram that was hosted for designer Masaba Gupta. This first of its kind use of the digital medium was loved by all. Bollywood celebs graced the occasion adding more glamour to the do. Genelia D'Souza made one of her rare appearances post her delivery. The actress looked beautiful in a black and brown outfit.

Riteish Deshmukh walked the ramp for designer Raghavendra Rathore. The actor looked dapper in a gold coloured Nehru jacket with a black kurta and white churidar. Actress and social media enthusiast Nargis Fakhri closed the show as she walked the ramp for Masaba. Nargis has always had an inclination to do things differently and has always managed to successfully partake in endeavours that are at times risqué but in the long run only prove her mettle. Nargis looked stunning in an ensemble that had a soothing mix of pastel colours with quirky prints enhancing the beauty of the design. The theme for the show was ‘Sugar Plum’ and Nargis looked just the part. With a whacky hot pink headgear, an adorable toffee handbag and perfectly done hair and make-up by Adhuna Akhtar and Natasha Nischol, Nargis looked like a million bucks! "When I was approached to be the showstopper for this unique show, I was pretty excited. As a person, I love experimenting and doing things differently, and this did catch my fancy. Seeing Masaba’s quirky and refreshing prints only made it easier to put things into perspective," said Nargis.

Former beauty queen turned VJ turned actress Sarah Jane Dias was seen performing live for Killer Jeans at Lakme Fashion Week. She opened the show, singing the international track ‘Forgot to be me’ live. “I am super excited to be receiving so much positive feedback and interest in my singing career. This is definitely a brand new world for me. I am used to being a show stopper but to be actually performing while the show of Killer jeans is going on and having hot models walk around me, while I sing! Gosh, it's like something out of a movie!” said Sarah.
