According to a report on PTI, ‘Jagga Jasoos’ director Anurag Basu said even though Govinda filmed his scenes for the film, it is the movie's loss that the actor's part was edited due to the changes made in the storyline. At a recent media interaction, Anurag said, "I've shot a couple of days with him in the first schedule. Then there were changes in the story and other things. But Govinda isn't in the film, his part isn't there.”


"It was very kind of him to agree when I requested him for the guest appearance. But it's our loss that he isn't there," he added.

Fans eagerly awaiting the release of ‘Jagga Jasoos’ starring Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif have an added reason to look forward to the film’s 14 July release. If reports are anything to go by, then Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan has also hopped on-board the project. Latest reports suggest that King Khan has finally agreed to make a cameo in the film, as expected, it will be a crucial role that determined the path the leading characters take on their world winding journey.
SRK’s presence on the ‘Jagga Jasoos’ sets last year, fanned rumours of a cameo, however, reports claim that the star only recently gave the makers his nod.
While Salman Khan’s ‘Tubelight’ will see Shah Rukh play the role of a magician, his part in the upcoming Anurag Basu directorial has been kept under wraps.

Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif were supposed to shoot for a special track for ‘Jagga Jasoos’ that would be used for the film’s promotions. However, looks like director Anurag Basu will have to do without it. According to reports, Ranbir and Katrina’s busy schedules have forced the makers to drop the idea of a special song. Ranbir is busy shooting for the Sanjay Dutt biopic while the actress is busy with her commitments for the action film opposite Salman Khan.

Besides their chock-a-block schedule, the lead actors’ altered physique has reportedly been another deterrent. In a bid to look like Sanjay Dutt, Ranbir has bulked up for the Rajkumar Hirani-directed film. Similarly, Kat has attained an athletic figure for the Salman Khan-starrer. As a result, both the stars currently sport different looks compared to their avatar in ‘Jagga Jasoos’. Having realised this, the makers feel that it is practically impossible to shoot for the promotional number at this stage.

Ranbir Kapoor may have moved on to shooting his next project, the Sanjay Dutt biopic, but on Sunday, the actor found himself back on the sets of Anurag Basu’s ‘Jagga Jasoos’. The film, which has been over two-and-a-half years in the making, saw the actor don his scouts uniform and head back to school for this scheduled shoot. Ranbir along with a group of boys were spotted at Mumbai’s Elphinstone Technical Institute, to shoot a part of the film.

Katrina Kaif, on the other hand, who was in Austria, shooting for ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ opposite Salman Khan, flew back to the bay for a scheduled shoot from March 27 to April 4.

‘Jagga Jasoos’ is Ranbir’s maiden co-production venture and will see him paired opposite former flame Katrina. The musical adventure mystery will have the Bollywood hunk playing the role of a detective of sorts as he sets out on a hunt to find his missing father, with Kat’s character tagging along.

Yes, you read that right! Anurag Basu's ambitious project 'Jagga Jasoos' will reportedly have 29 songs through the duration of the movie. Composer Pritam Chakraborty, who produced music for Anurag’s superhit ‘Barfi’ is working on ‘Jagga Jasoos’. He is excited about his work and has reportedly experimented a lot with the sound track of the Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif film.

Speaking to a daily, Pritam revealed that the audience would see Ranbir stutter throughout the movie but the only time when he would speak and express himself without a stutter is in the songs, all 29 of them. Reportedly, the songs are a part of the narrative and take the story of ‘Jagga Jasoos’ further.

'Jagga Jasoos' is one film which has always been surrounded by controversy whether it is because of delayed shoots or Ranbir and Katrina’s break-up. But looks like Ranbir Kapoor and Anurag Basu are back in action yet again.

Ranbir Kapoor was spotted shooting for the film over the weekend. The actor was dressed in a uniform and was seen shooting with few school kids as well. Ranbir plays a detective in the film with Katrina as his aide. In the film, the two actors will go on a lookout for Ranbir's missing father.

Though it’s not clear that the 'Jagga Jasoos' team is shooting new scenes or it’s just a patchwork shoot, yet it’s exciting to see Ranbir back in action. The movie is said to be released in April 2017.

Although she has travelled to Morocco sans Ranbir, the Kapoor lad is said to leave any moment and join Katrina to complete their next shooting schedule which was supposed to happen in Morocco but had been long impending, thanks to their infamous break-up. While the actors had stopped seeing eye-to-eye , people associated with the project, including Basu had started spending sleepless nights worrying that the film might not see the light of day. However, being true professionals, both Ranbir and Kat haven't let their personal equations affect their professional commitments and are working hard to complete the film on time. A couple of days ago, the ex-lovers even came together to rehearse for a dance sequence at a suburban Mumbai studio and now that they have decided to finish the Morocco schedule too, sun seems to be shining again on Anurag Basu.

Ranbir Kapoor: Working with Anurag Basu is a mess

Ranbir Kapoor, who has been receiving accolades for his performance in Tamasha, has shifted his focus to his next release Jagga Jasoos. Speaking to DNA, the charming actor revealed that with Jagga Jasoos, Anurag Basu is attempting to introduce a new genre of films to Bollywood. He went on to say that the film has over 15 songs and is on the same lines as adventure films like Indiana Jones or Tintin. The actor also said that working with Anurag Basu is a mess and that he has been shooting for the film for over two years now, since there isn’t a fixed script or a pattern. But, he added that in spite of all this, he trusted Anurag for his creativity.

Ranbir and Katrina on scooters!

Ranbir and Katrina used scooters to travel, during their stay in Thailand. The duo was in Thailand together while they were shooting for Jagga Jasoos. When the actors arrived at Thailand airport along with the entire unit there were cars lined up for them to take them to their destination. While on the way to their hotel, they saw majority of the people in the town were travelling by means of a scooter. Apparently, both of them were quite enthusiastic to travel using these scooters around the country and therefore requested the production house to arrange the two wheeler for them. Ranbir and Katrina broke this stereotype and they wanted to go with the mass. From then on, both the lead actors had their scooters with them and use to travel from one location to another. The crew members also hired a couple of more scooters and use to travel to the sets for shoot and back using their ride. Spokesperson of the film further added, "The entire unit along with Ranbir and Katrina switched to scooters to travel around the location. The team had a lot of fun while doing the same."

Govinda walks out of Ranbir Kapoor’s 'Jagga Jasoos'

Govinda, who was playing leading man Ranbir Kapoor's foster father in the film, has bid adieu to the project even after completing his portion of the film's shoot. Sources suggested the irreconcilable differences between the actor and director Anurag Basu behind the fallout, with the latter being unable to make peace with the former's way of working.

Katrina Kaif: Haven't re-shot anything for 'Jagga Jasoos'

Jagga Jasoos has been in news for getting delayed but the actress says they have not re-shot any of the scenes for the movie. According to a PTI report, the 32-year-old Bang Bang actress said a very large portion of the film has been completed and they are left only with some complex sequences. "No we didn't re-shoot anything... I wish... Because if we were re-shooting we would at least be shooting something. A very large portion of the film is complete but there are some slightly complex sequences which are left. It's a very brave film. We have tried a lot of new things in the film and to do that I think it takes time," Kaif told .

Ranbir Kapoor caught between Katrina Kaif-Anurag Basu's cold war?

There has been a buzz doing the rounds that Katrina Kaif and Anurag Basu are not seeing eye-to-eye on the sets of their upcoming film, Jagga Jasoos. According to a report on Mid-day.com, Ranbir is apparently in a spot because of this equation between the two. It is a known fact that RK shares a great bond with Basu who had cast him in Barfi!
