Siddharth Mallya and Freida Pinto have time and again maintained that they are good friends. The duo has been seen hanging out with each other on several occasions. This time around, Sid took to his Instagram account to share a pic of the two chilling at a Coldplay concert in Manchester, England last year. The two are all smiles and look happy in each other's company.

Actress Frieda Pinto and boyfriend Dev Patel called it quits after their six-year long courtship. The two met on the sets of the Oscar-winning film, 'Slumdog Millionaire' and instantly hit it off. However, looks like Frieda has found another handsome beau in polo player, Ronnie Bacardi post her split. Freida, 31, and Ronnie made an official red carpet debut as a couple at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party held at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills on February 28, 2016. The event, which was hosted by Graydon Carter, saw the good-looking couple dressed up in their best, with Freida, looking royal in a blue Versace gown.

Hrithik Roshan says that he loved actor Freida Pinto’s performance in Richard Raymond's biographical movie, Desert Dancer. The film tells a true story of a young, self-taught dancer in Iran, Afshin Ghaffarian, who risked his life for his dream to become a dancer despite a nationwide dancing ban. Freida plays Elaheh, who joins Afshin and others to form an underground dance company. The 41-year old Krrish 3 star seemed impressed with Freida’s dancing skills in the movie. “Has anyone out there seen ‘DesertDancer’? Pure passion ignited. Most incredible film I have seen. Such amazing actors. Bravo to the entire team. And how amazing is Frieda Pinto. Never seen anyone dance like that. Wanted to wish her but she doesn’t pick up my phone! Freida Pinto will reportedly not be walking down the coveted red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival, the reason being a big project that the actress has recently signed. According to a report, Freida Pinto is all set to join the cast Andy Serkis’ The Jungle Book. From being a middle-class working girl to emerging as the most popular Indian face on global media, Freida has definitely come a long way. Frieda Pinto was born on October 18, 1984 in Mumbai. Her mother, Sylvia, is a school principal and father Frederick is a senior bank manager. Freida comes from an open-minded Manglorean family. Her sister Sharon is a News Producer in one of the leading news channels. She has studied at the Carmel of St. Joseph School in Mumbai. Freida has completed a degree in Arts with a major in English literature, and minor in Psychology and Economics, from St. Xavier's College.

Getting into the industry was not really a cakewalk for her. Before getting her big break, Freida modeled for high-end brands for almost two years. She also worked as a television presenter for a travel show named Full Circle. She had enrolled herself in Barry John's acting classes in Mumbai. In 2008, Freida auditioned for the role of Latika in Slumdog Millionaire and soon got a call from Danny Boyle. Freida played the love-interest of the central character, Jamal, in the movie.

Slumdog Millionaire emerged as the biggest hit of the year 2008. The film was nominated for 10 Academy Awards in 2009, out of which it won eight. Freida Pinto emerged as the next big thing in the industry. The film gained universal acclaim and so did Freida. Freida Pinto shocked everyone with her sultry avatar in Bruno Mars' video in 2013. She revealed a far racier side as she writhed around a stripper pole in the video titled Gorilla. Freida stripped in front of Bruno Mars and a crowd of onlookers in the song. When Karan Johar asked if she was rejected by Yash Raj Films, Frieda said, "They auditioned me, Slumdog... was also going on at the same time, and Slumdog... happened. I felt Chak De! India was a great film. If I talk about Indian commercials, I did get rejected as I did not look Indian."
