Anushka says misspelling Kalam’s name was an honest mistake

Actress Anushka Sharma expressed her grief at the passing away of India's former President, the late Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. However, the PK actress goofed up big time when she referred to him as ABJ Kalam Azad. Anushka repeated the mistake before finally deleting her tweet and re-tweeting with the correct spelling. The actress has now clarified that her intentions and feelings shouldn't be misconstrued. Anushka also added that it was an honest mistake and that her intentions weren’t wrong. But she did not stop there. She lashed out at social media users who poked fun on her goof-up. Anushka retorted by calling them cowards and even said that if they had something to say to her, they should have the courage to tell her on her face and not hide behind computers.

Anushka Sharma was recently trolled on Twitter for getting Dr APJ Abdul Kalam’s name wrong. Now, it seems that even Farhan Akhtar has made a similar mistake. The actor tweeted, "Deeply saddened to hear about the demise of one of the most inspirational Indians of our time, former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Azad. RIP” [sic] He later rectified the tweet. While Anushka spelled 'APJ' as 'ABJ' and added Azad confusing the former president with the freedom fighter, Farhan committed the same mistake by adding ‘Azad.’

The PK actress took to Twitter to pay her condolences to India's former President, the late Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. Instead of writing APJ Abdul Kalam , she wrote ABJ Kalam Azad. Realising her mistake after receiving backlash on the micro-blogging site, she quickly deleted her tweet, only to folly again. However, she perfected it in her final tweet and wrote, "Very sad to hear about the passing of APJ Abdul Kalam. Loss of an inspiring visionary and a wonderful soul .May his soul RIP." [sic]

Former President of India, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, passed away on July 27, due to a cardiac arrest. Several Bollywood celebrities took to micro-blogging site, to post their condolences. Salman Khan, too, remembered the honourable politician in his tweets. He posted on Twitter, "never had the opportunity to meet kalam saab but always loved and respected him. ek scientist tha, hai aur rahega . His teachings will always be with us . when ur heart says you should meet someone, don't delay. i always wanted to meet Kalam saab and i should have made the effort . my loss" [sic]
