Disha Patani rejects R.Balki's 'Mangalyaan' opposite Akshay Kumar? Here's why?
The gorgeous Disha Patani is on the roll these days after giving a hit film 'Baaghi 2' post her debut film 'M.S.Dhoni' the actress has turned selective while making films' choices. If reports are to be believed than Disha has turned down R.Balki's next, titled 'Mangalyaan' opposite Akshay Kumar.
Reason for her opting out of the project is that she had less meaty role. Reportedly, the film will star four female leads and the major role is played by Vidya Balan and Disha's role did not interest her so the lady opted out of the film. Reportedly, a source said that Disha was quite excited to work with R.Balki and was happy to get a chance to work with him so early but when she learnt about other girls in the film, she changed her mind and turned down the offer.
Akshay Kumar was also one of the reasons why she wanted to do the film but then she was not ready to work with the other three girls.

Disha Patani is currently basking in the huge success of her last outing ‘Baaghi 2’ opposite Tiger Shroff. Unlike her debut ‘MS Dhoni- The Untold Story’, this movie has fetched her immense accolades and screen time which has resulted in her getting a better exposure in the eyes of the audience.
Soon she will start her upcoming big-budget epic saga titled ‘Sanghamitra’ which has been creating a lot of buzz in the media. According to reports, Disha recently revealed how she totally idolises actress Deepika Padukone. She allegedly said that Deepika’s acting prowess and personality is something that she really looks up to and if given a chance she would totally want to be like her.
Disha apparently very focused on developing her own brand value. In fact, she wants everyone who is in Deepika’s team to work with her. Reports further suggest that Disha has already got Deepika's hairstylist on board and has asked the management team to get others from the 'Padmaavat' actress's team to work with her.
Disha Patani's warrior-princess film to go on floors in July?
The film was announced at the Cannes film festival by Shruti Haasan, who was initially the leading lady. However, she later backed out of the project.
It was only in October 2017, that the makers stated that Disha would now star in the ambitious project, but reports of the film being put on hold soon surfaced. According to latest reports, backed by Hema Rukmani and helmed by Sundar C the film is all set to start rolling from July.
The report further states that the film is on similar lines to SS Rajamouli's 'Baahubali', and will release in two parts. It will be filmed in Hyderabad on a grand set and if everything goes smoothly, the first instalment will release next year.
Disha will be learning sword-fighting as a prep for the period drama set in the 8th century AD. The film also stars Tamil actor Jayam Ravi and Arya in pivotal roles. It will release in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi and will reportedly be made on a budget of Rs 400 crore.
