Actors Rajesh Shringarpore and Anand Ingle, who played pivotal roles in the movie have also been appreciated for their hard work. Mumbaikars have been praising the film since its conception. Well, the film is being celebrated not only in Mumbai but outside the city as well. We recently came across a picture that was clicked in Alibaug (outskirts of Mumbai). In the picture, we can see 'Daddy' fans dressed up like Arun Gawli, sporting a white shirt and white trousers with a Gandhi 'topi' on the head. They are seen standing in front of a huge poster of the film that features Arjun Rampal as Daddy.

The ‘OK Jaanu’ actor recently took a trip to a city hospital to pay a surprise visit to a superfan who is currently being treated for a life-threatening sickness. According to reports, the actor heard of the girl’s condition and decided to fulfil her biggest wish.

It has been reported that the hunk, who enjoys a large fan following, went to the hospital and spent almost an entire day with the girl and the other patients who gathered to meet him. This dream meet was organised by an NGO that got in touch with the actor. Aditya made it a point to carry along a few gifts for his fan, who in return also had something special to gift him. If rumours of the actor collecting fan mail are true, then you can bet that the small gift he received from his little friend will be with him forever in his collection.

After trotting the globe with her French boyfriend, Cyrille Auxenfans, Mallika Sherawat is finally back in Mumbai. The actress, who found true love in Paris, is currently meeting filmmakers and old friends in the city of dreams. It was in May that she made her last trip to India with her French beau to acquaint him with the idea of 'desi love'. The love smitten couple was spotted walking hand in hand and had posed for picture perfect shots. However, this time around it looks more like an official trip. Post Uri attacks, there has been much tension in the India-Pakistan ties. Bollywood too found itself at the receiving end as several bodies had decided to ban Pakistani artistes from working in India. They even threatened to stall the release of Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ since it starred Pakistani talent Fawad Khan. However, after intervention, the film did find a safe release. Amidst the Indo-Pak tension, Pooja Bhatt headed out to Karachi and celebrated Diwali in the Pakistani city. The actress-turned-filmmaker is being hosted by singer Ali Azmat of ‘Junoon’ band fame. This was reportedly a personal trip for the ‘Zakhm’ actress. Talking to the media there, Pooja stated that she was happy to visit Karachi and added that she has travelled to Pakistan several times before.

Come October 28, movie lovers will be treated to two big-ticket Bollywood films as Ajay Devgn’s ‘Shivaay’ takes on Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ at the box-office. Though Ajay’s action-drama will be forced to share business with Karan’s romantic-drama, the actor remains confident of his film’s success. Talking about the clash to a daily, the National Award-winning actor said that he announced his release date when “no other film was set to release over the same weekend”. Ajay also went on to insist that there is no war between Karan and him. He added that if he were to wage a war, “no one would be able to stand” before him.

Om Puri made headlines recently with his derogatory comments about Indian soldiers on the unfortunate Uri attacks. However, the actor accepted his mistake and stated that he is open to any punishment given by Indian government. But he clarified that banning his films is not the solution. According to reports, Om Puri has now decided that he won't participate in any television show again. He also explained that what he said about the soldiers, was wrong and unintentional. The senior actor also expressed the willingness to meet the soldiers' families and help their children in whatever way he can afford to. Om Puri also revealed that he is considering retirement soon.

In fact, the reports suggest that the actress has been getting quite paranoid these days and is even scared of the water she drinks and the air she breathes. Remember the sudden, self-imposed long break she went on during the release of 'Housefull 3'? Well, the actress later revealed that she had fallen ill because of arsenic and lead poisoning and hence, she is taking extra care about everything she does. A source was quoted saying to the portal that Nargis is scared that she will fall sick again and gets finicky even if she is attending work-related meetings in 5-star hotels. The actress prefers carrying a water bottle of her own and covers her face everywhere she goes, fearing a viral attack. The source further said that people who don't know about her paranoia find her behaviour quite disrespectful and demeaning!

Few days ago, Yash Raj Films announced their next with Salman Khan, 'Tiger Zinda Hai', which is a sequel to the 2012 blockbuster 'Ek Tha Tiger'. While the audience would get to see the ex-lovebirds Salman and Katrina Kaif back together on screen in 'TZH' reprising their roles from the original, one name that has been conspicuous by its absence is that of director Kabir Khan who directed 'Ek Tha Tiger'. We all know by now that Kabir is not going to wield the megaphone for the sequel, which would be directed by 'Sultan' director Ali Abbas Zafar, but not many know what exactly went wrong between Kabir and YRF due to which the film later went to Ali. As per reports, Kabir now wants to be the line producer of films which he directs and hence, wishes to have a say in the budget management and allocation. Unfortunately, YRF doesn't follow this practice and even in case of 'TZH', they didn't make an exception. Hence, Kabir backed off from the project which was originally offered to him and that's when Zafar was brought on board to direct the much-awaited sequel. We wonder if this has soured the relationship between Kabir and YRF and whether they would collaborate on any other project in the future. Let's wait and watch!

Bollywood star Ranveer Singh will put his money where his mouth is, as he gears up to play a rapper in Zoya Akhtar’s next. The star, who has rapped before for television commercials, will show off his skills on the big screen. As reported early this year, Ranveer will play an underdog who rises from the slums of Mumbai (Dharavi) to become a rapper with a heart and a voice that addresses Dalit oppression. The film tentatively titled 'Gully Boy', is inspired by real-life rappers like Divine and Naezy whose work has ranged from speaking about petty crimes in their respective Mumbai neighbourhoods of Kurla and Andheri to sharing stories about finding a voice and becoming activists. Latest reports suggest that the film will go on floors after the release of Ranveer’s romantic flick ‘Befikre’. He has also reportedly been signed on for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s periodic drama ‘Padmavati’ with Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor.

British rock band Coldplay have yet to confirm their Mumbai gig in November, but that hasn’t stopped rumour mills from circulating various reports. As 'the date' draws closer, the latest buzz surrounding this tour states that singer Arijit Singh will be joining them for the gig. It is however still unclear if the Bollywood singer will join Chris Martin and his band for a duet or if it will be a solo gig before the concert. Needless to say, this tiny detail has got fans eagerly awaiting the rumoured November gig. Arijit is currently on top of his game after wooing the audience over with his soulful ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ title track. The song which was released online on August 29, has already crossed the 10 million mark on YouTube.

The first teaser trailer of Karan Johar’s upcoming romantic flick ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ has been making all the right noises around town. Everything, from its intriguing story line to Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s steamy scenes along with Fawad Khan’s appearance and Anushka Sharma’s character has kept fans guessing about the film. However, Aishwarya’s bold scenes with Ranbir ultimately stole the show, as it was the first time that fans got to see the former beauty queen play such a character.

Reports now claim that these scenes have got Ash’s father-in-law, Amitabh Bachchan seeing red. Apparently, the superstar is fuming over Aishwarya steaming up the screen with Ranbir. It had earlier been reported that Big B even approached Karan to cut off her kissing scene in the film. The makers thought the intimate scenes wouldn’t be a problem, as nothing was flagged during the narrations. However, like the audience, even Aishwarya’s family was ‘stunned to see her bold avatar’.

There are also reports that state Amitabh, Abhishek and Aishwarya got into a ‘tiff’ on the day of the trailer launch, as Bachchan Sr. was fuming over the steamy scenes. Abhishek put up a very supportive front and according to reports, shared the teaser ‘as a formality’. Amitabh, claim the reports, however, stuck to his guns and refused to budge from his decision of not sharing the link on his social networking handles.

Getting Bollywood celebs to endorse a campaign can make the campaigners shell out a hefty price that can burn a big hole in their pockets. Well at least, that’s what has happened in the case of Priyanka Chopra who has been signed by Assam government to be the face of their tourism campaign, ‘Awesome Assam’. As per the reports, the actress has charged Rs 15 crore for 10 days shoot and that comes to a whopping Rs 1.5 crore per day. While her international star status is expected to do wonders and help Assam tourism in a big way, the fact that PeeCee charged such exorbitant amount for the campaign hasn’t gone down too well with a lot of people. Many have lashed out at Priyanka for charging such excessive fees especially when the state is reeling under major financial crisis and is struggling to cope up after being hit with one of the worst floods sometime ago. Two months ago, the governor had said there is enormous stress on the state exchequer and is not in a position to satisfy its budgetary demands. “It can barely meet its basic commitments like salaries, pension,” he said. Now whether Priyanka should have charged such exorbitant fees or should have done the campaign for free is a controversial debate that probably wouldn’t die down too soon.

However, the office of the state Tourism Development has sent a letter that states that the media reports about her charging that amount were false. Her spokesperson also added that although the actor has been approached for the same, there have been no talks about the money yet

Bollywood has witnessed a lot many titanic clashes at the box office in the past. This year too could have witnessed one of the biggest celluloid clashes, if Shah Rukh Khan hadn't postponed the release of his next 'Raees' which initially clashed with Salman Khan's 'Sultan'. However, while SRK did avert a big clash in Eid this year, it seems he might have tough time dealing with another box office clash in January next year. As per reports, SRK's next with Imtiaz Ali, 'The Ring' will clash with Akshay Kumar's next with Neeraj Pandey, 'Crack' on the Independence Day in August 2017. While this is the first time SRK is collaborating with Imtiaz and there is a certain intriguing mystery around the film, the fact that Akshay-Neeraj's collaboration has been extremely impressive and successful at the ticket counters in the past cannot be ignored. It goes without saying that Akshay's recent track record with Neeraj (Special 26, Baby, Rustom) will surely work in the favour of 'Crack', while SRK too has something new to offer when it comes to 'The Ring'. His coming together with Imtiaz has surely upped the intrigue quotient among his fans. Let's wait and watch who wins this box office battle.

Ever since Arbaaz Khan announced that he is going to make the third installment of his hit franchise 'Dabangg', speculations have been rife about Sonakshi Sinha being a part of the film. While Arbaaz, in an exclusive interview to TOI maintained that Sonakshi will be a part of 'Dabangg 3', Salman has maintained a stoic silence on the subject and decided not to probe the issue. However, in a recent interview, Sonakshi Sinha has put rumour mills to rest. When asked if she is not going to be a part of 'Dabangg 3', Sonakshi very calmly answered, "false". This definitely confirms the actresses' presence in the film and we can't be more excited about it. Interestingly, 'Dabangg 3' is set to be a film with two female leads, one of which is Sonakshi but it is better to wait for an official announcement about the same. On the work front, Sonakshi will be next seen in 'Akira' which has her play the role of a fierce, badass college student.

Shruti Haasan’s first venture with father and superstar Kamal Haasan ‘Sabash Naidu’ was expected to be a big thing in the Indian film industry but their first project hasn’t been experiencing smooth sail. While Irrfan rated Ranbir as the best actor among the five, he said Salman should be the last and immediately added that he hopes Salman's fans don't abuse him for rating their favourite star last in the list. Few days ago we told you that Parineeti Chopra was the top most contender to be cast opposite Salman Khan in 'Dabangg 3' and that both Salman and Arbaaz Khan are extremely keen to have Parineeti on board to replace Sonakshi Sinha. However, there is a twist in the tale. Reportedly, Parineeti has denied being offered 'Dabangg 3' and was shocked to read the news. In her recent statement, Parineeti said that she got to know about the development when she read about it in the news and had no clue about it till then. The actress also added that her team was in a tizzy as they too were totally clueless about Parineeti being offered 'Dabangg 3' and frantically called her to check what was going on. The actress did confirm though that the film is in its scripting stage and if offered to play the lead opposite Salman, she would love to do it. Let's hope and pray that this deal materialises as after Anushka and Salman, people are waiting with bated breath to see the fresh pairing of Parineeti and Salman together on screen.

Yesterday we told you how SRK and Ritesh Sidhwani, one of the co-producers of 'Raees' went and met Rakesh Roshan to discuss the possibility of shifting the release date of Hrithik Roshan starrer 'Kaabil'. Apparently, both films are set for a big box office clash on January 26, 2017. Onlookers say that SRK was visibly very happy while he walked out of Roshan Sr's house after the meeting and it was speculated that things probably worked out in his favour. However, the latest development in the story is that Rakesh Roshan has refused to shift the release date of 'Kaabil'. As per reports, the veteran filmmaker, who SRK shares fantastic rapport with, has maintained that the clash between his son's film and SRK's 'Raees' is still on. Now the only way they can assure or expect a win-win situation for both the films is that either they divide the theatres between them or SRK once again decides to postpone his film, which now looks very unlikely considering he already averted Raees' clash with 'Sultan' and shifted it to early next year. The shooting of the biopic on the controversial cricketer, Mohammad Azharuddin titled 'Azhar' is underway. The movie will have Emraan Hashmi essaying the role of the cricketer, while Nargis Fakhri, Prachi Desai and Lara Dutta in pivotal roles. And looks the filming of the movie is taking a toll on Nargis' health. According to a report on Mid-Day, the actress collapsed while shooting for a song sequence and a doctor had to be called. A source told Mid-Day, "The film's shoot wrapped up a while ago, but the makers wanted to film an additional song which is the recreation of the popular song 'Oye Oye' from 'Tridev' (1989). The actress was filming the sequence at a film studio yesterday when, suddenly she collapsed and a doctor had to be called. Nargis was running high fever as well and the unit had to pack up. This ended up costing a loss of around Rs 35-40 lakh to the makers." When Mid-Day contacted Nargis, the actress said that she was ecstatic to shoot the song, but suddenly felt giddy and uneasy while filming. She further said that a doctor was indeed called to sets and since her fever had shot up and she headed home for the day. However, the actress said that she will be back to shooting the very next day since the film's release is a month way. Now, that's some dedication girl!

During the launch of his book, ‘Anything But Khamosh,’ the actor-cum-BJP leader took a potshot at PM Narendra Modi. Shah Rukh Khan not playing lead in Gauri Shinde’s next?

Right from the day Gauri Shinde’s next film was announced; there have been rumours about Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt playing the leads. But a report on IANS states otherwise. While SRK is very much a part of the project, he will only be seen playing an extended cameo in the film.

A source in the report has been quoted as saying that it is a women-centric project with three male leads.

The source added, “One of the male leads is from the south filmdom. The makers are closely guarding the names of the lead actors.”

The film is jointly produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Dharma Productions and will be Gauri Shinde’s second project after English Vinglish.
