Akshara Haasan-Tanuj Virwani part ways?

The much-in-love couple that never shied away from admitting their relationship has reportedly parted ways, as per a report on SpotBoye. However, being mature individuals, they have parted ways on an amicable note and still continue to be friends and are even seen hanging out together with their set of friends. The report also mentions that the reason behind their split was a serious advice (read strict instruction) from their parents to concentrate on their respective careers currently. Tanuj, who made his debut with a forgettable 'Love You Soniyo' in 2013, hasn't been able to create a mark of his own yet while Akshara’s debut ‘Shamitabh’ also didn’t do well at the box-office. Interestingly, Akshara's dad Kamal Haasan and Tanuj's mom Rati Agnihotri had made their Bollywood debut together in 'Ek Duje Ke Liye', which was a sweeper hit. Unfortunately, it seems their kids aren’t ek duje ke liye anymore! Sigh!

Bollywood's broken relationships: Things we didn't know

Bollywood is a world full of bright lights, glitz and glamour. Apart from their work, one thing that is discussed the most about actors is their relationship. Be it husband and wife, boyfriend and girlfriend or just mother and daughter, here are a few relationships that didn't see the light of day, but even then gave us some intriguing moments of their lives.

Bollywood's broken relationships: Things we didn't know

Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh: Even though Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh broke up after being married to each other for 13 years, their love story was a rather steamy one.

In an interview with Simi Garewal years ago, when the two were still a couple, Saif and Amrita had revealed that their love story started in just one day. Saif was a struggling actor who went to established actress Amrita Singh's house for dinner one evening, as their first date together. Saif revealed that by the end of the evening, they kissed each other and Saif continued to stay in that house. He had said, "I never left the house even till today." What's more interesting is that Saif and Amrita, who is 12 years older to him, kept their wedding a secret even from their parents!

They only told their parents the next day. Both Saif and Amrita said that they decided to get married just two days before they actually tied the knot and were scared to tell their families. In the interview, Saif had recalled how his mother Sharmila Tagore warned him, "Don't get married," just a day before. Sadly, after they had two kids Sara and Ibrahim, the couple called it quits.

Aamir Khan and Reena: Aamir Khan and his first wife Reena's romance blossomed as the two would look at each other from their windows. The two were neighbours and he had said that they spent a lot of time looking at each other through their windows. Aamir had even said that he went up to Reena and told her, "I love you," but she turned it down. Not just that, the actor even confessed that he once wrote a love letter in blood to Reena! She, however, didn't like it and was very upset with the same. Aamir said that he only wanted to express his love for Reena and that's why he did it. But he also said no one should do such a thing. Aamir and Reena were childhood sweethearts and got married in the year 1986. They, however, got divorced in the year 2002, 16 years after their marriage. Aamir went ahead and tied the knot with Kiran Rao in 2005.

Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne: Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne's separation has been a hard one for the couple and their families, but it was an equally hard-hitting one for millions of Hrithik's fans. While the various aspects of their break-up and Sussanne's decision to part ways with Hrithik have been scrutinized many times, we laid our hands on this interesting piece of information of them in their good times. In an interview with Simi Garewal, Hrithik had mentioned why he called Sussanne an angel. He narrated that when he was young, his friend Uday Chopra was going to a party where Sussanne was also going. When Uday asked Hrithik how he will identify her amidst everyone at the party, he just said she is the one "who looks like an angel." Hrithik said that Uday called him up from the party and said, "I didn't take a second to identify her." Sussanne, who heard this story, couldn't help but blush. Although, theirs was a fairy-tale romance that ended in matrimony and then kids, Hrithik and Sussanne separated after 13 years of marriage.

Bollywood's broken relationships: Things we didn't know

Sushmita Sen and Vikram Bhatt: The beautiful Sushmita Sen has had a series of relationships, but her relationship with filmmaker Vikram Bhatt was the talk of the town at one point. While everyone called Sushmita a "homebreaker," as Vikram was already married and had a two-year-old daughter; Sushmita clarified her stance with Vikram in an interview the two of them gave to Simi Garewal. Sushmita said that Vikram was going through his divorce when they met and she thought that if her conscience is clear, why would she wait to tell the world about her relationship. Sushmita had said, "I love him like mad," and also told Simi that she feels "content" with him. Well, Sushmita Sen's relationship with Vikram Bhatt faded out eventually and the two moved on in their lives. While we know about Sushmita's other boyfriends over a period of time, the actress never opened up about anyone publicly, the way she opened up about Vikram.

Ameesha Patel and her parents: Ameesha Patel made news when she dragged her parents to court for financial issues. In her interviews in the year 2004, she had blamed her father for 'mismanaging' her account and assets and sued him for Rs 120 million. However, even before that, Ameesha and her mother had given an interview to Simi Garewal. The mother-daughter duo then seemed like a picture perfect happy family. Ameesha had even revealed then that her father took care of her entire earnings. He invests her earning so that they earn more, because if she had anything to do with her money, it would be "squandered like that." In the interview, Ameesha's mother had said that she has to give an account of what she spends and she gets pocket money from her parents. She went on to add that "change comes with money, in the long run money talks". Unfortunately, things didn't remain the same between Ameesha and her parents. A rather public legal battle over the actress' financial problems with her parents turned the picture perfect portrait of this happy family upside down.
