'Malang': Mohit Suri reveals Aditya Roy Kapur underwent an extreme transformation in just 2 months

Bollywood hunk Aditya Roy Kapur is all set for the release of his next 'Malang' where he will be seen setting the screen ablaze opposite Disha Patani. The actor has been receiving a lot of appreciation for his extreme and rugged makeover, that we got a peek at in the film's trailer.

The actor reportedly trained in martial arts, flexibility, and endurance and went off sugar, salt to go from lean to buff and brawny in the romantic-thriller.

Director Mohit Suri shared, “Aditya’s two looks can be defined as hippy—which is actually him off-camera—and the muscular hero. It’s easy if you have six months to go from one look to the next, but he has done it in two months, living without sugar and salt when we were shooting portions in which he had to look ripped. Then, he started eating all the time to be bigger; it’s a difficult job.”

'Malang', hits theatres on 7th February 2020.

R Madhavan is unrecognisable as he transforms into ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan for 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect'

R Madhavan will soon present his acting and directorial venture 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect', whose trailer was unveiled last year. For this film, Madhavan underwent a drastic transformation to get into the skin of ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan.

In a photo that has surfaced from the sets, the actor looks unrecognisable, in his new greyed avatar. Talking about his look and getting into character, Madhavan said, "The process took painfully long... about 2 days of sitting on a chair for 14 hours at a stretch. Initially, it looked easy but later I realized how tough it was on the body. The look is definitely half the battle won but the other half was really really tough because the age group I'm playing is around 70-75. Mr Nambi is a very good looking man and he has got his own charm and charisma so it took me around 2 and a half years to actually imbibe him and learn how to walk like him. It wasn't easy and it's probably one of the toughest looks and characters I've had to pull off".

If you a finding it hard to wrap your mind around Madhavan's uncanny resemblance to the scientist, you are not the only one. The actor revealed that Nambi himself couldn't stop laughing and getting amused by Maddy's look and how similar they looked.

'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect' will be a trilingual that is set to release in English, Hindi and Tamil. The film has been shot extensively across India, Princeton, Scotland, France and Russia. The film is slated for a worldwide release this year.

Sporting an oversized orange t-shirt and blue jeans, he looks much thinner than he has ever before, which comes as a delightful surprise for his fans. Bollywood stars’ best physical transformations for films

Every actor needs to match up to some level of effort and dedication for their films, but there are a few who rise above the rest to immortalise their characters. Be it physical, mental or emotional aspects, this new breed of actors are willing to do whatever it takes in order to literally transform into their characters.

Ranveer Singh

Man of the hour Ranveer Singh, who has been earning rave reviews for his performance as the barbaric Sultan Alauddin Khilji in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmaavat’, stunned fans recently with his lean new appearance. For his role as the Sultan, the actor hit the gym hard to beef up for his part. However, his well-defined physique didn’t seem to match the requirements for his next role as a street rapper in Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Gully Boy’. According to reports, the star shed about 7 kilos and a lot of muscle mass to get into character for his next. Talk about having weight loss dilemmas, Ranveer managed to achieve this remarkable metamorphosis within just three weeks. Impressed much?

Ranbir Kapoor

Ranbir Kapoor is one Bollywood hunk known for his lean physique apart from his charmingly good looks. The star who is often seen playing the lover boy in films, went all out to get under the skin of his character, actor Sanjay Dutt for the upcoming biopic. Reports had stated that the hunk didn’t just go through hours of footage to perfect his act as Dutt, but also bulked up and put on about 13 kgs for the part. Ranbir had the girls swooning over his buff new look that was first shared by his trainer and went on to spread across social media platforms like wildfire.
Reports also claim that this new look is also for his superhero film 'Brahmastra', co-starring Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan.

Rana Daggubati

With a perfectly chiselled body, Rana Daggubati made being bad look so good in the blockbuster ‘Baahubali’ franchise. Playing the role of the tyrant Bhallaladeva, meant that the star had to ditch his lean physique for a meaner and muscular avatar. It had been reported that Rana underwent intense weight training to achieve his physique and the desired weight goal of 110 kilos. However, as his role required two very distinct looks – older and a young Bhallaladeva, Rana was required to lose the muscle mass for a more chiselled look in ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’.

Randeep Hooda

Randeep Hooda’s transformation into an almost skeletal avatar for the biopic 'Sarbjit', directed by Omung Kumar, left fans stunned. The hunk went on a rigorous diet and lost a whopping 18 kgs in a period of just 28 days to get the perfect look for his director who wanted to “see his bones.”
While many actors in Bollywood don't want to tamper their health to such an extent, Randeep proved that he had no such qualms to transform into a starving man confined in a 4 ft x 4 ft prison cell.
10/11

Priyanka Chopra

While many other actresses in Bollywood prefer a leaner and toned physique even for their films, Priyanka Chopra proved she could rise to the challenge and bulk up for her role as boxer Mary Kom in the self-titled biopic. In order to match up to the physical attributes of the sportswoman, the actress underwent rigorous training and reportedly worked out for 5 hours every day in order to get into fighting form. The actress was also reportedly trained by Mary's coaches for three months and fought with real boxers.
Post the film’s release, Priyanka was lauded for her efforts and the film went on to bag a National Award.

Bhumi Pednekar

While other actors in this list were busy pumping iron, actress Bhumi Pednekar packed on the pounds to play an overweight housewife in her film opposite Ayushmann Khurrana. Reports state that the beauty was determined to make a statement with her debut film, and did so by gaining around 20 kgs for her part, losing it and gaining it back again for a few re-shoots. The newbie proved she meant business when she tipped the scales and won hearts with her convincing portrayal of Sandhya.
