While Deepika Padukone’s recent Met Gala look was questioned a lot, the ‘Padmaavat’ actor has quite blown away everyone with her red-carpet appearance at Cannes this year. She looked spectacular. The leggy lass flaunted her toned bod in a pink high low hem gown featuring layers of dramatic ruffles and shoulders that mimic angel wings.

Although Deepika won hearts by mesmerizing the fans, it was interestingly noted that Deepika’s ‘RK’ tattoo was missing. It’s the same tattoo that she got inked when she was in a relationship with actor Ranbir Kapoor. During that phase, she had got his initials inked on her nape.

Speaking about the ‘RK’ tattoo, Deepika had once said on a chat show that the tattoo is what she really felt about and it definitely isn’t something that she regrets. She had even mentioned that she didn’t think about taking it off. Further, she said that media may say things like, 'she has lasered it', 'she has changed it' and all kinds of things, but the tattoo is very much there.

However, post their break-up, a source close to a daily revealed that the ‘K’ from the ‘RK’ has been modified into a design of a flower, while the ‘R’ remains.

So the question remains if Deepika Padukone has removed the ‘RK’ tattoo or not. Last year, at Cannes Film Festival, she had flaunted the tattoo in a green thigh-high slit gown.

Bollywood’s Khiladi Akshay Kumar has got himself a new tattoo. The action superstar, who is currently in Seychelles holidaying with wife Twinkle and their two children, Araav and Nitara, took to his social networking handle to share a picture of enjoying himself in the pool. However, it wasn’t Aki’s shirtless, sculpted body that caught our attention, but his new ‘Tina’ tattoo on his shoulder that caught everyone’s attention. You might be aware that Akshay lovingly calls wife Twinkle by her pet-name ‘Tina’. The actor had previously got his son and daughter’s names tattooed on his back and shoulder. He, however, keeps these imprints of love, hidden under his shirts.

Akshay, Twinkle and the kids are enjoying their stay at a beach facing hotel with its own infinity pool and gaming area apart from other luxurious things. We have learnt that Akshay and his son Araav hope to indulge in adventure sports, while Twinkle catches up on her reading and works up a tan.

Though she is going through a phase in her life which is disturbing, Malaika Arora Khan still believes in living life to the fullest. And what better way to express yourself than with a body art tattoo. She recently posted a picture on her Instagram account of a pretty 'bee' tattoo on the back of her neck, with the caption "To bee or not to bee....." It seems to be very symbolic as the actress is still busy as a bee, dealing with the never-ending rumours of her break-up with husband Arbaaz Khan!

We know that Deepika Padukone is all set to make her big Hollywood debut with Vin Diesel in ‘xXx: The Return of Xander Cage’ and well, we are pretty excited about the whole affair. But worry not, these aren’t permanent. We recently caught a glimpse of one of DP’s temp tattoo in a pic shared by director DJ Daruso. The director shared the above pic of DP with Chinese-Canadian star Kris Wu, who also plays a pivotal role in the film, and himself with a tweet that read, “KrisWu, Deepika Padukone & me #XXXposing. So excited to see these 2 together on set. Wow!"

Deepika Padukone, who was once in love with Ranbir Kapoor had carved a tattoo on the back of her neck to proclaim her love for Ranbir to the world but the duo eventually split. However the tattoo still remains. According to a report, recently the actress was questioned at an event by a reporter on what Ranveer Singh thinks of her ‘RK’ tattoo. The report further states that the Tamasha actress did not let it go that easily this time. She enquired – Why? The actress further asked him did the nation want to know?'

The actor got inked during a family holiday in Goa in January 2015, by a tattoo artiste who has designed one of his previous tattoos as well. Imran wanted to get something special, yet unusual done as soon as Imara was born. But he did not have a particular design in mind. Imran's mother had his footprints etched on a piece of paper, which she has treasured all these years. That's where the idea originated and Imran eventually decided to get it done.

Sonakshi Sinha: Dabangg actress Sonakshi Sinha got a cute star tattoo inked on her collar bone. The actress got herself a tattoo on her 27th birthday. She took to her Instagram account to surprise her fans with the tattoo. It's a tiny star that looks pretty with its size and positioning. The caption with the picture read, "Surpriiiiise! my birthday gift to myself is this tattoo… My guiding star, now always with me :)" [sic]

Arjun Kapoor: Like every other child, 2 States actor Arjun Kapoor has immense love for his mother. And that explains his tattoo on his wrist that reads "Ma". There's also a number 8 inked with it. Apparently, the number is the sum of the digits of his birth date (26).

Saif Ali Khan: The Chhote Nawab of the industry, Saif Ali Khan, caught everyone’s attention when he got Kareena Kapoor's name inked on his for arm. It was Saif’s own way of expressing his love towards Bebo. It was a rather bold way of confessing his love publicly. The two are happily married, and one of Bollywood's popular couples today.

Ranbir Kapoor: The Kapoor lad took everyone by surprise with his tattoo. The actor got the word "Awaara" inked in Devnagri script on his wrist. It symbolises freedom. Although it is also believed that it is Ranbir's tribute to late grandfather Raj Kapoor.

Akshay Kumar: Akshay Kumar is a family man. It then did not come as a surprise when he got his son Aarav’s name inked on his back. The first letter of the tattoo also has a halo. Isn't it a very adorable way to show love and affection toward his child?

Hrithik Roshan: Bang Bang actor Hrithik Roshan has ex-wife Sussanne’s name inked on his wrist. Though the couple has parted ways now, the two had also got an identical star tattoo inked on their wrists, back when they were together. After their split, Sussanne got her tattoo redesigned by adding the words, 'Follow your sunshine' inked just before the star. Hrithik, however kept both his tattoos — the star and her name inked on the underside of his wrist — unaltered.

Ajay Devgn: Singham star Ajay Devgn is apparently a devotee of Lord Shiva. No wonder then, he got Lord Shiva's face inked on his chest. His tattoo is visible on screen whenever he poses shirtless for his shots. In an interview, he had said, "I have Nysa's name on my chest for a while now. Earlier Yug was too young to make sense of my tattoo or the fact that I had his sister's name written across my chest. But now my son is four years of age. And he is smart. He keeps telling me, 'Papa, shirt nikalo aur didi ka naam dikhao.' Before he asks me, 'Dad, why haven't you put my name on your chest, I am going to add the alphabets UG to my existing tattoo. The 'Y' in Nysa is already prominent. All I need to do is to add 'UG' to it and this should complete Yug's name."

Sanjay Dutt: Munna Bhai Sanjay Dutt has several tattoos all over his body. It wouldn't be wrong to call him the king of tattoos in Bollywood. He has a Tibetan Om with his zodiac sign Leo. On his right arm, is a tattoo of two Samurais. There is another tattoo in Japanese which means 'Honour'. There is another snake tattoo on his right arm. Besides, Sanju has his parents' and wife Manayata's original name, Dilnashin, also inked on his body. These are just to name a few. The list goes on...

Sushmita Sen: Sushmita Sen too has several tattoos. But the one that is easily noticeable is on her wrist that reads, "Aut Viam Inveniam Aut Faciam." It means, "I will find a way or make my own." Now that is one strong message coming from a really strong woman. The words on the tattoo are very inspiring, aren't they?

Esha Deol: Hema Malini's daughter, Esha Deol, has two beautiful tattoos on her back. The one on her upper right shoulder, are lines from the Gayatri mantra. The other one on her left shoulder, is a beautiful design of Om inked across. The actress has been seen flaunting the tattoos at several social dos.
