While the year is coming to an end, Bollywood celebrities are still making headlines. Way back in 2012, Saif Ali Khan was reportedly involved in a brawl at a five star hotel in Mumbai. He had allegedly assaulted a South-Africa based businessman and now the CCTV footage throws light on other aspects of the story. However, according to a new update, Karisma and Kareena did not depose before the police despite the fact that they were present at the same venue where the incident took place. A police officer was quoted in a PTI report as saying, "The statements of Kareena and her sister Karisma Kapoor were not recorded in connection with the Saif brawl case. We tried to persuade the duo, but they were not forthcoming about recording their statements over the incident." The report further stated that the two Kapoor sisters were not keen to record their statements.

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have been linked time and again. The duo have been spotted together several times and Anuhska very subtly accepted her relationship recently. According to an IANS report Anushka Sharma said, "Nobody is hiding anything. We are living our life very normally. It's just that we don't want to talk about our relationship. We can't subject it to entertainment news. We will not hide if you guys see us together, but we will not talk about it." While Virat Kohli too brushed off the subject when asked about his relationship status, speaking to Mumbai Mirror, Virat had said, “Whatever is there is out in the open, I have nothing to hide. I am not doing anything wrong. If people were to use simple logic, they wouldn't be asking this question about two people seen together so often. It's common sense. It can get a bit irritating if you are asked the same question again and again. It's a personal matter and not a topic of debate."

Bollywood's fairytale couple, Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne decided to part ways this year. After announcing their separation, Hrithik and Sussanne officially filed for divorce. According to a report on timesofindia.com, the two had filed for divorce with mutual consent. The couple were childhood sweethearts and their decision to go separate ways came as a shock for everyone in the industry. Hrithik and Sussanne have two kids - Hrehaan and Hridhaan. In a report in timesofindia.com, Sussanne had said, "We are two individuals who respect and care for each other and have made our own individual choices. We are parents to two wonderful kids and our responsibility remains to protect and take care of them. Nothing can change that,"

Salman Khan saw to it that little sister Arpita Khan's wedding to Aayush Sharma was a grand affair. However it was Salman and Shah Rukh Khan who grabbed eyeballs at the wedding celebrations. The candid picture of them kissing their darling sister went viral and fans were happy to see the two estranged stars warming up to each other. The stars were also teasing each other about the morphed photographs doing the rounds. It seems like in the festive mood, SRK decided to let bygones be bygones. According to a Mumbai Mirror report, Shah Rukh Khan also danced to some popular numbers at the starry reception. And more recently yet another event saw Salman-Shah Rukh and Aamir Khan coming together on stage for the 21st anniversary celebrations of a TV show.

Shweta Basu Prasad made headlines with the news of being caught in an alleged prostitution racket. Returning from a rehabilitation center, the actress spoke to Mumbai Mirror. Shweta said, "I had gone to Hyderabad to attend an awards function, the Santosham Awards, and the organisers had paid for my airfare and hotel stay. It was my bad luck that I decided to stay on an extra day to meet my friends which is when the raid happened. I don't understand how I got into such a big mess. I was not doing drugs, I was not murdering someone... people are so interested (only) because they think here's some sex, some suffering and someone with a name." According to a PTI report the actress was given a clean chit by the Metropolitan Sessions Court, Nampally, Hyderabad. She has reportedly joined Anurag Kashyap's team as a script consultant. A PTI report further quoted Shweta's open letter to the media, that read, "I have completely gone past the whole incident and I overlook everyone who picked up false statements and encouraged misleading stories without verifying its authenticity. I overlook, because this episode does not deserve any more attention." [sic]

Rani Mukerji surprised everyone with the news of her wedding. The actress was rumoured to be in a relationship with the head honcho of Yash Raj Films. But, the news of the couple's nuptials in April surprised everyone. Aditya Chopra and Rani Mukerji got hitched far away in Southern Italy, the wedding was a family affair and later on a party was organised for all the industrywallahs. Speaking about her married life, Rani in an interview to Bombay Times, said, "I am married to a man who is very modern in his thinking even though very traditional in his heart. There are no rules laid down for me and I feel I am married into my own family. Of course, my parents miss me as I don’t get to see them every day, but I try to make sure that I see them as often as I can." Also, the actress seemed keen on the idea of having a child after marriage, in an interview with The Times of India, the actress said, "I want to expect soon. Every woman is born to procreate and God has given us that magical power to bring another human being into the world. Adi always teases me, ‘You are born to become a mother. You should have had babies when you were born only.’ So yes, I am completely looking forward to becoming a mother."

In a rather unfortunate event Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt was sentenced to jail this year. According to a Times of India the actor had to complete the remaining 33 months of his sentence. His parole ended and the Sanjay Dutt had to return to Yerwada jail. According to a PTI report Sanjay Dutt was released on parole on the grounds of his wife Manyata's illness. Before going to complete his jail term, Sanjay Dutt had finished work on his upcoming films like P.K. and Policegiri. Speaking about the situation at that time, Sanjay Dutt's sister Namrata told Mumbai Mirror, "He is extremely worried, it's a very difficult time for him and he is not doing well. Some crisis or the other keeps popping up. Priya and I are with him, we have to take it in our stride. Breaking down and giving up won't help us."

Love birds Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif also grabbed a lot of headlines this year. They have been allegedly in love for quite some time now. And according to a report in Times Of India.com, Ranbir and Katrina have shifted to their expensive love nest at Carter road in Mumbai and the duo also threw a housewarming party for their close friends from the industry. While none of the two have admitted to the relationship, speculations are rife that their family is insistent that the two tie a knot.

Geetika Tyagi made headlines when she accused filmmaker Subhash Kapoor of molestation. She had a video to support her claims of the same. The video documented a confrontation taking place between Geetika, Subhash and his wife Dimple. It also showed Geetika slapping the filmmaker. Describing the incident, Geetika told Mumbai Mirror, "He came and sat next to me and forced himself on me. I went numb. This man was like an elder brother. I ran to the kitchen, he followed me, I abused him."

Several Bollywood celebrities were paid a visit by the stork this year. Genelia D'Souza-Riteish Deshmukh became proud parents of a baby boy and they named him Riaan Riteish Deshmukh. Imran Khan and Avantika Malik welcomed a baby girl and have named her Swahii. Bollywood's suave actor Ayushmann Khurrana became a father for a second time this year, after a baby boy, it was a baby girl for the couple. Controversy queen Veena Malik also gave birth to a baby boy this year. The actress named her son, Abram.

Bollywood also lost a few of its stars this year. The ever so lively Zohra Sehgal passed away this year at the age of 102. Another shocking death in Bollywood was that of Sadashiv Amrapurkar who passed away at the age of 64. Suchitra Sen, yet another gem of the industry succumbed to massive heart attack in Kolkata. Veteran actress Nanda also bid adieu to the world this year. She was 75. And recently it was Deven Verma who passed away due to heart attack and kidney failure.
