Marathi Cinema is on the rise! Post the immense success of 'Sairat’, Marathi film industry is taking Bollywood and its stars by storm. Going by the trend, Marathi films are doing better than some Bollywood movies, with the fact that fewer investments get greater outputs. Thus, gone are the days when Bollywood would think twice before investing into a Marathi film or also getting associated with it.

Be it acting in the film or producing it, many Bollywood biggies have already got associated with Marathi film industry. Salman Khan, Vidya Balan, Riteish Deshmukh, Priyanka Chopra, Ashutosh Gowariker, Boman Irani are a few names that have already acted in Marathi movies. And thus, looking at the progress of Marathi film industry, more and more biggies are eyeing to debut in Marathi films or get associated with in the near future. According to reports, the gripping storyline of the movie led Menon to take up the movie. Also, speaking about the film, Kay Kay said that he had been watching many Marathi movies so as soon as he was offered this film, he accepted it for its powerful concept. Another Bollywood actress Renuka Shahane will also be seen sharing the screen space with Madhuri in the same movie. If reports are to be believed, Rohit Shetty and SRK have already started their work and the film will be directed by none other than the ‘Duniyadari’ director Sanjay Jadhav.
