Not only is she a talented and successful actress, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is a diva in her own right and unarguably the most beautiful woman in the world. What’s more, Ash is also a fashion icon of sorts. On her 43rd birthday today, we pick out her 10 best appearances of the year.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was a sight for sore eyes at the Bachchans’ Diwali bash this year. The actress looked resplendent in a white and golden heavy lehenga by Manish Malhotra. The red lips and that tiny bindi added to the look.

Stunning – that’s the only way to describe Aishwarya’s appearance at the Filmfare Glamour and Style Awards 2016. The beaded mesh gown by Kuwait-based label, LaBourjoisie was perfection. Letting the gown do all the talking, Ash completed the look with slick hair and minimal makeup. Love at first sight!

Aishwarya attended an awards ceremony hosted by a business magazine wearing a full-length Manish Malhotra creation. No anarkali or lehenga or power suit for her, Ash looked lovely as she kept it dreamy in this floral number. With nude lips and soft curls, the actress was at her radiant best.

Want to do a glamorous look? Look no further than Aishwarya – she knows how to up the glamour quotient, alright. The actress looked ravishing in a black Naeem Khan gown at a style awards ceremony in Delhi earlier this year. Not everyone can pull off this busy look but Ash slayed it!

For the premiere of her much-awaited film, Sarbjit, Aishwarya picked a Theia Couture gown. With her hair styled in soft waves, the actress finished out the look with understated jewelry.

Let’s admit it, we wait for Cannes Film Festival only so that we can drool over Aishwarya’s gorgeous red carpet outings. She bowled us over with her first appearance this year when she stepped out in an embellished Ali Younes Couture gown that featured a matching embellished cape. Wearing her hair down, she finished out her look with blue-toned eye make-up. Drama and glamour – she delivered on both.

On the second day of her scheduled Cannes red carpet appearance, Aishwarya donned a nude-colored gown, this one by Elie Saab. While the gown was a 10 on 10, it was the berry lips and that neckpiece that left us swooning. She is not the red carpet queen for nothing!

Aishwarya attended Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover’s wedding reception wearing a mirrored Manish Malhotra long kurta and golden flared skirt. The extensive mirror work on the dress left us wanting for more.

Structured gowns anyone? Yes, most people can’t do justice to them. But this is Aishwarya we’re talking about. Is there anything she doesn’t look gorgeous in? The actress unveiled a cosmetic brand’s new collection in Mumbai looking stunning in a blue gown by Azzi & Osta. The gown with its dramatic structured peplum was eye-catching and she finished the look with minimal make-up and accessories.

It was a white Georges Hobeika Couture gown for Aishwarya at an awards ceremony earlier this year and boy, did she kill it! She looked sweet and dreamy in the embroidered gown. No complaints here.
