Arpita Khan's wedding: Celebs who were not a part of the celebration

Arjun Kapoor was conspicuous with his absence from Arpita Khan's big, fat wedding in Hyderabad. Speculations were rife with rumours of the reason being Arjun Kapoor's proximity to Arpita Khan and their alleged relationship and break-up that kept Arjun Kapoor away from the wedding. The fact that Arjun is a huge Salman fan and yet didn't attend the wedding, added fuel to the fire. However, in an interview to DNA, Arjun cleared the air on his absence from the wedding. He was quoted as saying that it's his equation with Salman and the family and that there was nothing to speculate. He also added that he thought there were far more interesting things like Shah Rukh and Salman bhai meeting, for anyone to notice his absence.

While Arjun chose to be diplomatic about his absence from Arpita Khan's wedding, here are other celebs who didn't make it to the wedding of the year.

While reports of Salman apologising to Katrina over the comments he made at Arpita Khan's wedding are still doing the rounds, it is being reported that another actress is upset with Salman Khan. According to a report in Business of Cinema, Sangeeta Bijlani is upset with Salman Khan as she wasn't invited to the grand wedding at the Taj Falaknuma Palace in Hyderabad. The report states that though Sangeeta helped in shopping for the wedding she was upset over reportedly not being invited to the wedding. And though she did attend the wedding reception held in Mumbai, the report claims that the actress who is close to Salman's mother and sister was not so happy on being given the miss on the wedding guest list.

Sonali Bendre who is currently shooting for television show Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh was asked during a press interaction if she was going for Salman Khan’s sister, Arpita’s wedding in Hyderabad. She said that she can call Saif her friend, but Salman is not her friend. So if she didn’t get an invitation for Arpita's wedding, she doesn't mind, reports bollywoodlife.com. Saif was on the show to promote his upcoming film Happy Ending. Sonali has worked with Salman in Hum Saath Saath Hain. Not only that, Sonali and her hubby Goldie Behl are great friends with the Khans and they were often spotted together at parties.

The last few days have been full of news about Bollywood actor Salman Khan's sister Arpita Khan's wedding. From the guest list to the bride and the groom's wedding trousseau, everything about the wedding has been the talk of the town. Though media is busy reporting about the high-profile guests who were part of the wedding, there are many of the film industry who were not a part of the celebrations. The Bachchans: The Khan family has always shared a very good relationship with the Bachchans until Abhishek Bachchan married Aishwarya Rai. However, fans recently got to see pictures of Amitabh Bachchan hugging Salman Khan on the sets of Bhootnath Returns and Abhishek hugging Salman at a recent award function. But surprisingly, none of the members of the Bachchan family were seen at Arpita's wedding. Interestingly, when some of the big names of Bollywood were leaving from Mumbai airport for Hyderabad, Junior Bachchan was spotted at the airport too. But he was going to attend the football match at Chennai.

Ranbir Kapoor: Though, Katrina Kaif, rumoured to have been dating Salman in the past, was a part of the wedding; Ranbir was apparently not invited. Salman and Ranbir were close to each other at some point of the time, but since the time Katrina started dating Ranbir after her alleged break-up with Salman, both Ranbir and Salman have avoided each other. Katrina was spotted at the Mumbai airport dressed in casuals leaving for the celebration in Hyderabad minus beau Ranbir.

Arjun Kapoor: Current Bollywood heartthrob, Arjun Kapoor, swears by Salman Khan's name. After all, the 'Dabangg' Khan is his real-life inspiration. Both Salman and Arjun's father also share a good bonding but Arjun was missing from Arpita's wedding. The reason behind Arjun's absence from the marriage is apparently Arpita herself! Arjun is Arpita's ex-boyfriend and possibly Arpita did not want Arjun to attend the wedding.

Sonakshi Sinha: The 'Dabangg' actress has always been spotted attending all the special occasions of the Khan family. But Sonakshi's absence from Arpita's wedding raised many questions. According to reports, Sonakshi is not attending the wedding because of her busy schedule. The actress is apparently busy with the promotions of her upcoming film Tevar.

Vivek Oberoi: The actor, at several occasions, has tried asking for forgiveness from Salman Khan. But all his efforts have always gone in vain. Salman has shared cold vibes with Vivek Oberoi and avoided him. This time too, Salman has neither invited Vivek nor his family for the wedding.

John Abraham: Salman Khan and John Abraham's decade long tiff was once the talk of the town. Both the actors never really got along well, the two shared cold vibes ever since their differences at the 'Rockstars' concert in 2006. But all seemed fine and everyone thought that the rivalry between them has come to an end. However, John not being invited for the wedding clearly indicates that all is not well between the two.

Sana Khan: The Jai Ho actress, who got a big break in Salman Khan's brother Sohail Khan's home production, has been in news for all the wrong reasons. Sana, who caught Salman Khan's attention in the reality show Bigg Boss was spotted at different social events of the Khan family. However, the actress failed to make it to the list of Arpita Khan's wedding. She has not been invited for the wedding. When asked, Sana Khan said, "No am not invited. I am not here as I will be flying to South Africa for Khatron Ke Khiladi."
