Kabhi Kabhie was one of Amitabh Bachchan's iconic hits. The film was produced and directed by the late Yash Chopra. It had an ensemble cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Shashi Kapoor, Waheeda Rehman, Raakhee, Neetu Singh, Rishi Kapoor, Naseem, Simi Garewal and Parikshat Sahni. Sharing his memories of the film, Amitabh Bachchan had written, “The premiere of Kabhi Kabhie and what a line up... those days will never be forgotten... we shot most of the film in one schedule in Kashmir... in one month !!Yash ji, RD Burman, AB, Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Singh, Shashi Kapoor, Rakhee, Waheeda Rehman...AND ... almost simultaneously Yashji, Shashji and I shot 'DEEWAR' .. what contrasting themes and characters...” (sic)

Satte pe Satta had Amitabh Bachchan leading the bandwagon of six brothers. The camaderie of the actors with Hema Malini and several other actress was a treat to watch. Big B had a double role here too – one of which was positive and the other negative. Amitabh Bachchan posted an anecdote from the sets. “Satte pe Satta .. the two roles ! And what a story behind the wearing of those contacts that the killer wore! Those days they were made of pure glass and it hurt like hell when put them on. So I used to anaesthetise my eyes with drops and wear them for a limited period of time .. then take them off and do the same procedure again, after every shot ..” (sic)

Abhimaan that stars the now husband and wife - Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, released in 1973. They were a couple in the film too. The film had some very popular songs like ‘Meet Na Mila Re Man Ka’ and ‘Teri Bindiya Re’. Going down memory lane, Amitabh Bachchan shared an image from the song recording of the film. Big B posted, “At the song recording of 'ABHIMAAN' .. one of the finest music on film .. the great SD Burman, Hrishi da, Majrooh Sultanpuri, and the nightingale Lata ji ..!!” (sic)

Sholay has been a milestone film and holds a special regard for all those associated with the film. Amitabh had a rather subdued romance with Jaya in the film what with her playing the role of a widow. The film also starred Dharmendra and Hema Malini as parallel leads. The film was a drama, with a mix of action and an underurrent of love. Remembering his Sholay days, Amitabh Bachchan tweeted, “And 'Sholay' ... and the mouthorgan and the scenes linked to it .. the lighting of the veranda 'diyas' by Jaya in the film ... the scene where Basanti is taught by Viru the complications of the gun shooting .. such wonderful memories ... !!” (sic)

Amitabh Bachchan was seen in a double role in Don. The actor played the smart villain as well as the innocent hero in the movie. The film has also been remade with Shah Rukh Khan In the lead. Amitabh Bachchan shared a few images from the sets of the film and wrote, “FB 686 - Shooting 'DON' on the road to where ?? That is Chandra Barot the director with me .. those were the days my friend ..” (sic)

Amitabh Bachchan played the role of Dilip Kumar's son in Ramesh Sippy's Shakti. It was a 1982 film and proved to be a huge hit at the box office. In a nostalgia, Amitabh Bachchan shared a special moment from the film. “Some more nostalgia: Dilip Kumar - Yusuf Saheb, my idol, Salim Saheb the writer and self at the mahurat shot for the film that I did with Dilip Saheb, "Shakti" .. its the Holiday Inn at Mumbai .. what a moment! never ever dreamt that I would one day actually be standing next to the 'great man'. It was a complicated mahurat shot .. I flew in on a helicopter from Juhu airport, Dilip saheb drove in on a jeep on the beach of Juhu .. I landed near him and we both walked out from our conveyances and spoke our lines, in one coordinated shot .. Phew !! heart beating moment !!” (sic)
