Panditji

Fans of Amitabh Bachchan are still losing sleep over what exactly his character in Wazir all about. Well, it’s time to spill the beans. Big B plays a wheelchair-bound chess-master for the first time in this film. Called Panditji, Amitabh’s character seems to complex and one that might have required him to express a lot with his face since the other gestures would be limited thanks to his character’s mutilated legs. Such is his dedication for the craft that the veteran actor tried more than 40 wheelchairs before he found the right one and practised sitting on it for a few months to get the posture right.

Auro

Amitabh Bachchan created history by featuring as the son of his real life son, Abhishek Bachchan, in the film Paa. The perfection with which he has played an aging teenager, suffering from progeria, left the audience stunned. While the actor took several hours to get his prosthetic makeup done by none other than Hollywood's Christien Tinsley of Catwoman fame and Dominie Till of The Lord of the Rings film trilogy fame, it surely paid off with almost all the awards falling in his kitty that year.

Bhashkor Banerjee

Amitabh Bachchan did not mind playing a potty-obsessed old man in the film Piku. The precision with which he played a Bengali who was constantly fretting over the shade of his shit and the ‘satisfaction’ he felt after every motion, was hilarious! Mostly irritating at times, Amitabh as Bhashkor Banerjee left the audience in splits. Can we imagine anyone else playing Piku’s father? No way!

Arjun Singh

Who can forget Amitabh Bachchan’s funny number, ‘Pag ghungroo bandh…’ It remains one of his funniest numbers till date. In the film, Big B played a naïve boy in a new city who is unaware of how complicated life in a city is. The actor was at his craziest best in the film, which also had another hit rain song, ‘Aaj rapat jayein…’ featuring the late Smita Patil. Some catchy dialogue from the film has still stuck around.
