There has been tremendous growth in the medical and cosmetic industry. The same has been utilised most effectively by a few Bollywood actresses. From getting their nose fixed to getting fuller lips, from getting the desired angular faces to silicon implants, some Bollywood actresses have left no stone unturned when it comes to enhancing their features by going under the knife. While surgeries to enhance their features are now passe, the latest trend in Bollywood is skin lightening.

Kajol - Kajol came under the scanner when rumours of her sudden 'fair' skin started doing the rounds. The actress has of late been making heads turn with her fair skin. Speculation is rife that Kajol has undergone a skin whitening treatment. One may remember Kajol from her earlier films like Baazigar where one can see her skin tone. In later films like My Name Is Khan and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kajol's skin colour lightened for the screen claim these rumours. However, this change was attributed to make-up. Are these rumours true? Well, we don’t know about that, but we think Kajol has always looked beautiful no matter what!

Sridevi - Sridevi started her career in films at a very young age as a child artist and so her gradual progression from a child star to a lead actress was obvious. However, while Sridevi may have continued acting over the years, she got herself entangled in quite a few controversies for her constant change in physical appearance. From a dark, chubby leading lady in Solva Sawan, Sridevi's transformation as a light skinned woman in her other films is very noticeable, claims the grapevine, which also adds that the actress may have gone under the knife for a nose job apart from skin whitening treatment. Sridevi has of course never confirmed or denied these rumours. But then who cares? This one will always be the Queen Bee to us.

There are rumours that Hema Malini, who sported a wheatish complexion from the beginning of her career, became fair over night! We think these reports are too fantastic to believe, but the grapevine insists that she too took the doctor's help. What’s more, they insist that the actress may even have gotten a face lift later on in life. What do we think? There can never be a dream girl like Hema Malini again!
