The actor was reportedly starring in the director’s 'Bachchan Singh' but the filmmaker himself took a hiatus from Bollywood. The two are now reportedly back together for the film which will be a masala flick with the actor playing a corrupt cop who later turns into a savior of sorts. According to reports, Abhishek was the first choice for the film for his superb comic timing. The actor, who was last seen in the 2016 film ‘Housefull 3’, had taken time off to focus on his sports ventures.

Abhishek Bachchan is all set to play a gangster in his next film. After working with wife, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sanjay Gupta seems all set to work with Abhishek Bachcchan. The gangster drama is apparently based on S Hussain Zaidi's bestseller, Byculla To Bangkok. Set in the era when gangsters ruled supreme, the film will explore the nexus between the police, underworld, politicians and mill owners. According to a report on Desimartini.com, Abhishek's character is based on the life of Chota Rajan, who was recently arrested in Bali.

Talking about films that flopped, in an interview with Hindustan Times, the actor has been quoted as saying that if actors give a flop film, people stop taking their calls and then it doesn't matter as to whose kid the actor is. He further reasons that while it is true that people put in a lot of money to make a film, no actor takes up the project wanting to make an unsuccessful film. He asserts that actors make the film with complete conviction and that when they are told that it is not good enough, it crushes them. Abhishek also elaborates on the difficulty is going on with work when a film has flopped. He has been quoted as saying that a flop is the worst feeling on Earth and it destroys the person as a human being. He adds that it takes a person of immense strength to wake up the next morning and face the world.

Actor Abhishek Bachchan, who is usually criticised on social media for his acting skills, has decided to spread "love and positivity" online. "Starting a hash tag... #BePositive gotta spread the love and positivity guys. Let's post just positive stuff today. Let's see what happens," [sic] Abhishek tweeted. The All is Well actor, known to take humour in the right spirit, believes there is "way too much negativity on Twitter".

After reading the tweet, a user named Shakir Patel commented, "@juniorbachchan ..till now you should have understood that movie is not your cup of tea and then see things will be positive around you always". [sic]

Abhishek further added that he is not talking about sex comedies in particular, but insists that when he chooses a film, it should be something that even his daughter can watch. The apartment is on the 37th floor of Skylark Towers in the prime Annie Besant Road area of Worli. The five-bedroom house includes a family room, dining and living rooms, wet and dry kitchens and 20 feet terraces on all sides. Abhishek Bachchan comes from a filmy family and that seems to have influenced his education also. According to IMDB, Abhishek Bachchan was a student at Jamnabai Narsee School and Bombay Scottish School in Mumbai. He went abroad to pursue higher studies in Business Management in the United States. However he left his education as he wanted to become an actor. According to IMDB, Amitabh Bachchan supported Abhishek in his decision.
