Zwigato trailer launch: Kapil Sharma is very excited to have worked with Nandita Das

At the recent trailer launch event, Kapil Sharma revealed happily that he is very excited to have worked in a film, along with Nandita Das and Shahana Goswami. The film is titled Zwigato and is helmed by Nandita. Shahana plays the role of Kapil's wife in the film. Zwigato releases on March 17 and has already been screened at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Kapil confesses he was pleasantly surprised when Nandita Das offered him the role in this film.He explains, "When Nandita narrated me the story, I asked her why me, and she said even if a global star like Shah Rukh Khan says yes I will still not make it with him. Your face is like a common man (so it's perfect for the character)."
Kapil reveals an interesting side of Nandita Das that the public is not aware of. "Maine zindagi mein nai socha tha, inhone bhi nai socha tha. I have always been a fan of Nandita, have seen Firaaq and Manto. And seeing those films, I hadn't imagined that she will ever offer me a film. Her films may be serious but in personal life she is quite funny. When you see the film, everyone will be able to relate to it."
After making his Bollywood film debut in 2015, with the film, Kis Kisko Pyar Karoon, the comedian star and actor also played a role in Firangi.
In Zwigato, Kapil will be seen portraying the part of Manas, a delivery agent, while Shahana plays Pratima, Manas' wife. The protagonist of the film is a food delivery agent who, after losing his job due to the pandemic, tries his best to provide for his family.
