With actioners like Dabangg and rustic love stories/crime capers like Ishqiya raking in the moolah in North India, Zilla Ghaziabad director Anand Kumar has decided to cash in on the hot trend by signing a three-film deal — Two thrillers and one love story. All three films are based in small towns in North India. The first film to go on floors is Meerut Junction — a multistarring cop thriller.
“The film will be shot in Meerut and Varanasi. We are in the process of writing the climax,” says the director. He has retained the entire technical team of Zilla Ghaziabad, including screenwriter
Vinay Sharma for the three flicks with K C Productions Pvt Ltd, run by Kshitij and Prashita Chaudhary. An alumnus of the London Film Academy, Kshitij also produced the small budget film Tutiya Dil, which recently had a nationwide release.
