Zeeshan Siddique reveals the bond his family shares with Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan
In a recent interview with The Lallantop, Zeeshan Siddique discussed how they were often focused on his family’s connections with Bollywood, particularly with superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, following his father Baba Siddique’s passing. When asked if these celebrities were family friends, Zeeshan replied, "Yes."
He further added that Salman Khan is more than a family friend; he’s like family because of his long friendship with Baba Siddique, going back to their childhood. He added that while Shah Rukh Khan is also a close family friend, Salman is especially close to them.
Zeeshan also mentioned that since his father’s passing, he talks to Salman Khan every one or two days, as the actor often checks in on the family. He added that they haven't talked about the death threats Salman has received. To Zeeshan, his father’s close friend feels like a "Chacha" (uncle).
Zeeshan further explained that he calls Salman Khan "bhai" because of his persona, noting that calling him "chacha" would feel awkward, even though he treats him like an uncle.
When asked if Bollywood stars would join his political campaign, Zeeshan Siddique explained that he and his father have always kept their personal and political lives separate. However, he added that if anyone wishes to support the campaign, they are welcome to do so.
Baba Siddique was famous for his grand, star-studded Iftar parties and for helping mend relations between Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. In an earlier interview with BBC Hindi, Zeeshan shared that Salman has been regularly checking in on their family and even experiencing sleepless nights due to concern for them.
